Sea view drive is ideal for physical activities such as leisure walking and cycling and provides easy access to the rocky beaches. The historical Strandveld museum is located on Sea view drive and has a large collection of items collected from ship wrecks. Dyer Island is a few kilometers offshore from Kleinbaai. It was named after Samson Dyer, an emigrant from the USA who lived on the island in the early 1800’s. Today the island is a nature reserve and home to thousands of penguins. Unfortunately, the Island cannot be accessed by the general public. The lighthouse located near Kleinbaai is a historical landmark where the HMT Birkenhead ran ashore in 1852.
