Sharky is a modern self catering holiday home in close vicinity of Kleinbaai shark viewing and cage diving facilities. Boats also depart from Kleinbaai harbour on whale watching trips. The house is set on the Franskraal coastal line overlooking the well known Dyer Island and surrounding areas.

Key features of Franskraal include Sea view drive with its unblemished view of Dyer island; the ultra long sandy beach at Uilenkraalsmond and hiking trials. Sea view drive is ideal for physical activities such as leisure walking and cycling and provides easy access to the rocky beaches. The historical Strandveld museum is located on Sea view drive and has a large collection of items collected from ship wrecks.
Dyer Island is a few kilometers offshore from Kleinbaai. It was named after Samson Dyer, an emigrant from the USA who lived on the island in the early 1800’s. Today the island is a nature reserve and home to thousands of penguins. Unfortunately, the Island cannot be accessed by the general public.
The lighthouse located near Kleinbaai is a historical landmark where the HMT Birkenhead ran ashore in 1852.
