Picturesque Somerset West lies in the heart of the Western Cape, only a 30 minute drive to the airport. The famous Vergelegen Wine Estate is only 5 minutes away, and opposite Vergelegen lies the well-known Erinvale Golf Estate. More than 150 wine estates are a 30 minute drive away. Day trips to Cape Point, Cape Town or whale watching at the coast are also recommended. AccommodationWe offer the complete house as a B&B or self-catering unit for up to six people. The rooms are equipped with double beds, bathrooms en-suite, air conditioning and a tea tray. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob and oven, fridge and freezer, microwave and all the things you need. In the luxuriously furnished living room you will find satellite TV with German and South African channels. BreakfastStart each day of your holiday like a Sunday and enjoy our delicious breakfast with a view of Table Mountain. For B&B guests, a sensational continental breakfast of fresh rolls, fruits and eggs is served on the pool deck. For the self catering guest we offer to bring fresh rolls every morning. Pool lounger and towels, umbrellas and garden furniture are available, as well as a braai (barbecue). Sip a drink in our pool area after a long day of playing golf or sightseeing and refresh yourself with an invigorating dip in our saltwater swimming pool. Your hosts, Viktoria and Peter will also help with bookings for golf courses, car rental and local restaurants just to name a few. They will gladly assist with free advice for self driven explorers. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town or the Garden Route (Via N2) Take the exit “ to Victoria Street” at the transformer station. At the 3rd traffic light crossing (Andries Pretorius Street) turn right and follow the road up to the next traffic light. Cross the Main Road, now you are on Bizweni Avenue. Continue straight forward up to stop sign at the Schapenberg Estate. Turn left into the Via Appia. Then turn right into the Romulus Street up and the 2nd road. Turn left into Remus Street. Remus House can be found on the right of the road, number 18. |
