MEET YOUR HOSTS:What a pleasure it is to be welcomed and cared for by hosts that understand the needs and expectations of their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in guesthouses and B&B’s when we first holidayed on in South Africa in 1998. We were soon encumbered by the dream of owning our own special haven, and soon after returning to our homeland in the Netherlands, we decided to make our dream a reality. Taking enthusiastic steps to reach our goal, we booked our tickets to South Africa, put our home on the market and left the rest to chance. After only 5 days of being back in Cape Town, we came across and immediately fell in love with the sanctuary that was to be ours - Plumwood Inn. Within a week, we received notification that our house in the Netherlands was to be sold. All the pieces in our life puzzle were falling meticulously into place. On 11 January 2001, we made the official move to South Africa. A mere 2 days later, we opened our doors to the first guests. We look forward to welcoming and treating you to an unforgettable and cherished stay. |

DIRECTIONS: FROM CAPE TOWN: • Take the N1 towards Paarl • Drive until you get to exit 47 with sign Stellenbosch, Klapmuts, Wellington • Turn right at the T-junction • Within 300 meters, you come to a 4-way stop • Cross over and shortly thereafter you will see a sign to the left saying Franschhoek, R45 • Continue for about 9 km, until you reach a T-junction • Turn right and keep driving for about 20 km’s until you find yourself in Franschhoek • Drive through Franschhoek until almost to the end of town • Turn right into Berg Street (about 300 meters before the Huguenot Monument) • Continue down Berg Street until you get to a Cabriere Street, which is the 2nd street to the right, an untarred road • We are the 4th House on the right hand side |
