The secluded gardens are quiet and nestle in the heart of Newlands historic and picturesque village. There are two self-catering cottages. Both Cottages have private entrances and spaces, with beautiful mountain views. One can walk to several restaurants and bistros; as well as Newlands cricket and rugby grounds; returning to a peaceful and quiet garden. Self Catering AccommodationStreamside Streamside accommodates two people in a kingsize or two single beds. It is open plan and has a bedroom area with generous cupboards; an en-suite bathroom with a shower; a fully equipped kitchenette and a lounge area. The lounge leads through French doors onto a patio which overlooks the stream and has a beautiful view of the mountain. Another patio from the bedroom invites you to sit under the vines looking into the lush garden. Poolside Poolside leads off the secluded pool garden and accommodates two or three people. It comprises a lounge with a fully equipped kitchenette; a bedroom with a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. There is a pullout sofa in the lounge for a third person. A table and chairs on patio off the lounge in the pool garden invite you to have your meals outside. The loungers in the garden provide you with the facility to relax in the garden and enjoy the mountain views. Both Cottages Both cottages are well appointed and furnished with cotton linen and luxurious towels. Swimming towels are provided as well as a hairdryer and ironing facilities. The kitchenettes are fully equipped with a kettle, microwave, toaster, hob and oven as well as all cutlery and cooking utensils. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided for immediate use. There is secure parking. The pool is for the use of both cottages. You are welcome to barbecue on the patios. A weber barbecue is available for your use. DIRECTIONS: Follow the N2 to Cape Town. Take Exit 6 onto the M3 to Kirstenbosch and Muizenberg. Take third off ramp, left , into Princess Ann Avenue - M 146. Turn right into Newlands Avenue. Go along Newlands Avenue until you reach the BP garage on your left. Just after BP garage, turn left into Palmboom Road. Go over two speed bumps and turn right into Apple Lane. Plumtree Cottages are at the end at No. 6. |
