Our guest house is conveniently situated on Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard, right below Signal Hill, between Beach Road and Main Road in Sea Point. Olafs’ Guest House was built back in 1937, which helps to explain our design, spacious interiors, high ceilings and wooden / tiled floors. It has more recently been renovated and enhanced with touches of upmarket African style and charm. We’re just a stone’s throw away from the city centre of Cape Town. As well as the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town’s shopping Mecca. And we’re also close to the famous beaches of the Atlantic Seaboard including Clifton and Camps Bay. The Cape Winelands are only a half-an-hour’s drive from Sea Point. ACCOMMODATIONOlaf’s Guest House has nine luxury en suite rooms, all of which are stylishly designed, with twin / queen beds and elegant en-suite bathrooms. For your added comfort and convenience, wireless broadband, satellite television DStv, a telephone, radio-alarm-clock safe, hairdryers, European plug points and tea and coffee making facilities are in every room. Our upstairs rooms all have fans and air conditioning and bathtubs. All rooms also have heaters to keep the winter at bay. FACILITIESEnjoy a day of relaxation in our garden and cool off in our plunge pool. Or, simply come home to a sundowner after a busy day of sightseeing or business dealings in the knowledge that a comfortable, quiet night’s sleep awaits you. Cape Town offers a host of world-class restaurants, all within just kilometers of Olaf’s Guest House. The City Centre is 10 minutes drive away. The world famous Table Mountain provides a magnificent backdrop to the city, and 15 minutes drive takes you to the Lower Cable Station. Or put your feet up and relax with an evening at home. Then wake up in the morning to a delicious breakfast served in our sunny garden overlooking the pool. And when the mercury drops and the evenings start to feel a little chilly, curl up next to the open fireplace in the living room. BREAKFASTOur breakfasts are also legendary. Our staff is up before the sunrise every morning to prepare a full English or Continental breakfast consisting of cereals, fruit juice, filter coffee and teas, assorted cheese, yoghurts, bacon & eggs. Fresh rolls are fetched daily. ADDITIONAL SERVICESOlaf’s Guest House can arrange day tours, a shuttle service to and from the airport, township tours, Robben Island and also recommendations for lunch and dinner. We can also assist with car rental solutions. Faxing facilities are also available and the daily newspaper is delivered early in the morning. |

DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport Exit the airport and get on the N2 towards Cape Town. Stay on the N2 all the way until you enter Cape Town. Go over the first traffic light. You will now have the Convention Centre on your left hand side. Turn right at the next traffic light. This is Hans Strydom Road and there is also a sign saying Sea Point. Stay on Hans Strydom until you reach a traffic circle. Enter the traffic circle and exit at the opposite side. You are now on Western Boulevard. Stay on the Western Boulevard and it will become Beach Road. Stay on Beach Road until you see a big green and white Hotel , the Winchester Mansions Hotel on your left hand side. Turn left just after the Hotel. This is Hall Road. Turn left again into Wisbeach Road. We are number 24 on your right hand side. The name Olaf’s and the number 24 are both on our wall. |
