Ocean Eleven is an olde worlde, Cape Cod, colonial style guesthouse situated on the famous cliffs of Hermanus. The phenomenal, all encompassing vista of the bay is gently embraced by the picturesque mountains beyond. The main house of Ocean Eleven was built with all the high ceilings, tall windows and teak floors that made colonial architecture so utterly elegant. All these features and thus the grace and style have been retained to this day. AccommodationOcean Eleven boasts ten beautifully appointed rooms - three standard, five deluxe and two suites. Every bedroom has an all-embracing sea view over Walker Bay. Luxuries include 100% cotton percale linen, tea and coffee trays, minibars, heated towel rails, fans as well as heating which will all ensure a comfortable stay at Ocean Eleven. Standard Rooms The three standard rooms are situated on the ground floors of the Guesthouse. Two of these are in the main house, both with an en-suite bathroom (with shower) and with the original high ceilings and windows opening out onto the garden. The third room has an en-suite bathroom (with bath and shower) and is adjacent to the swimming pool with french doors opening out onto the deck. Deluxe Rooms There is a wide selection of deluxe rooms. Three of the them are situated at the swimming pool. One on the ground level and the other two upstairs. The fourth room has a separate entrance and it own private balcony overlooking the sea. Finally, the fifth deluxe room is situated in the main house and has original teak floors, a walk in dressing room and french doors opening out onto the garden. All deluxe rooms are en-suite with a bath as well as shower. Suites Both suites are situated Loft-style in the roof of the house and are spacious, air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms with a bath and shower. The first room is the Honeymoon Suite for newlyweds, while the second includes a sleeper couch that can accommodate a third person. LocationHermanus is a beautiful 90 minute drive from Cape Town making it an easily accessible short-stay destination and should be included on any travel itinerary to Cape Town or South Africa. DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town Take the N2 from Cape Town towards George. Pass over Sir Lowry's Pass. Drive straight. After about +/- 20 minutes (you will pass Grabouw) you will pass over the Houw Hoek Pass. As you come down this pass Botriver will be on you Left hand side and shortly after you will see a turn off to Hermanus R43 to your left. Take this off Ramp Carry along straight along the R43. You will pass the Kleinmond turn. Pass Fisherhaven, Hawston, Vermont, Onrus and the Sandbaai. After the Sandbaai Traffic Lights you will pass through two more sets of lights (one is a pedestrian crossing). After the last set of lights, Your THIRD road to the right ALBERTYN ROAD (at the Vet on the Main road) turn RIGHT. Follow Albertyn Road until you reach the T – Junction. Turn RIGHT into Westcliff Road and we are the BIG GREY house on the left hand side of the road. From Knysna Take the N2 in the direction of Cape Town. Once you have passed the town of Riviersonderend look out for a sign on your left hand side towards Hermanus (R326). Turn Left follow the road until you reach STANFORD. You will reach a stop street (there will be a small garage on the right in front of you and on the left a farm stall) Turn RIGHT before going into Stanford. Follow this road straight into Hermanus. Pass the Traffic circle / Roundabout and go straight into the town. You will reach the Main Road , pass straight over the Four ways stop and then you will reach a set of traffic lights where you can only turn Right. Your second road to the LEFT is PARK ROAD (Friendly 7 Eleven and Garage). Turn left. At the stop street (the sea will be in front of you) TURN RIGHT follow this road straight. We are the 6th house on the left hand side a big grey house on the seaside. From Franschoek From Franschoek take the R45 towards Villiersdorp. You will reach the Theewaterskloof Dam. Option 1: Turn Left and drive VIA Villersdorp. Then take the R43 towards Botriver (you will turn onto the N2 for a short while). Take the R43 in the direction of Hermanus You will pass the Kleinmond turn. Pass Fisherhaven, Hawston, Vermont, Onrus and the Sandbaai. After the Sandbaai Traffic Lights you will pass through two more sets of lights. After the last set of lights, your THIRD road to the right ALBERTYN ROAD turn RIGHT. Option 2: Turn right onto the R 321towards Grabouw. You will reach a stop street. Turn left towards Hermanus. You will pass over the Houw Hoek Pass.
