Cavendish Square shopping mall, the world renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Newlands Forest, the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the Sport Science Institute are all within a 5km radius. Centrally located, Newlands Bed and Breakfast is in easy striking distance of the beautiful scenic beaches of the Atlantic and Indian oceans, Table Mountain Cable Station, golf courses and the V&A Waterfront. Your driving time to the Cape Town International Airport is approximately 20 minutes to half an hour. AccommodationWe are situated in a quiet panhandle, with secure off-street parking. The house has been newly renovated and modernised to a high standard. We offer 3 comfortable, spacious double bedrooms all en suite, 2 with queen size beds and one room with twin single beds. All rooms are non-smoking, have satellite television as well as their own private patio area. Smoking is allowed outside on your own private patio. RoomsThe Lavendar Room The Lavender Room is a private suite situated upstairs with queen size bed and its own balcony overlooking the swimming pool and garden. The en suite bathroom has a large walk in shower and heated towel rail. The Rosemary Room The Rosemary Room is downstairs with two single beds and a patio next to the swimming pool. The en suite bathroom has a large walk in shower and heated towel rail. The JAsmine Room The Jasmine Room has French doors leading on to its own private patio. This bright sunny room has a queen size bed and a large en suite bathroom with shower, bath and heated towel rail. FacilitiesThe bed and breakfast, which is also suited to self-catering accommodation, has a swimming pool for the guests to use at their leisure. There is also a comfortable lounge where guests can relax and unwind. BreakfastWe serve a delicious continental breakfast (cereals, yoghurts, toast, fruit juice, tea and coffee) between 07h30 and 10h00 to be enjoyed on your private patio or indoors in the dining room. DIRECTIONS: From the airport Leave Cape Town airport heading for N2-direction Cape Town i.e. towards Table Mountain. After approx 2 kms you will join the N2 via the glide on. Keep heading towards Cape Town - in due course you will pass a power station on the right hand side - keep going towards the mountain. About 8-9 kms from glide on to N2 - note sign M3-RHODES DRIVE/MUIZENBERG - MOVE ACROSS TO LEFT HAND LANE. Keep in left lane but DO NOT exit at this stage. At 10kms FROM N2 start (airport glide on) - EXIT at M3 MUIZENBERG. Shortly thereafter will pass Mosterts Mill on left and UCT on the right hand side. After 4 kms (from M3 beginning) will come to traffic lights - go through and move across to left lane. At bottom of hill exit M33-PARADISE ROAD - Shell Garage on left. 200-300 meters on you will come to a traffic circle. Exit at 10 o'clock - PROTEA ROAD. Continue straight - take the curve to the right -and pass Norwich Oval business complex on the left hand side. Come to traffic lights - carry on going straight. Come to another set of traffic lights and continue straight over the bridge – Pick ‘n Pay supermarket will be on your right hand side. At the bottom of the bridge turn right at the traffic lights into MARIENDHAL AVENUE and then first right into KINKLE WAY AVENUE (the road turns back towards the bridge). Follow the road towards the bridge – at the end it curves left and becomes CAMPGROUD ROAD. On the left hand side you will see a steel gate to the panhandle and you will be able to see the wooden gate and the house number 177a of Newlands B&B. Please note the door bell to 177a is on the left-hand side of the steel gate. |
