THE ESTATE:Kronendal Heritage is a magnificent Country Estate, dating back to 1880 and built in the old Cape Dutch style, surrounded by wonderfully kept landscape gardens. Over the past years the Estate has been lovingly renovated. The house offers all the comforts of Western European standards. The bathrooms in particular were carefully renovated to fit in with the mansion’s historical value. ACCOMMODATION:Kronendal Heritage offers you four suites. The suites are stylish and individually furnished. Location and placement of the suites offers a high measure of comfort, peacefulness and private space. All suites have their own terrace. Ideal for breakfast or sunsets, with a unique view over the valley of Hout Bay and the "Little Lions Head". All bathrooms are fully equipped and offer the most modern comforts. The suites have television, DVD, Hi-Fi, safe, Fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette, Underfloorheating and hair dryer. The Swimming Pool: The pool (13 m x 3 m) in the middle of Kronendal’s magnificent garden is bathed in sunlight all day and comes fully equipped with lounge chairs, umbrellas and bath towels. The pool is equipped with a jet-stream for underwater massage. A modern purification oxygen system ensures that the pool has spring water-quality. The Garden: The whole Estate is surrounded by old palm trees and indigenous plants. The complex irrigation system in combination with the freshwater of our own borehole makes sure, that all plants thrive and prosper throughout the year. SERVICES:We offer the following services to our guests: Breakfast Buffet. Daily cleaning of the whole apartment including the kitchen. Change of towels daily. Secure parking bay on the property. 24-hour security. Wireless lan for your own laptop. Further services on request: Airport transport, car rentals can be organised and laundry services. ATTRACTIONS:Hout Bay is a picturesque fishing village and is situated approximately 20 km outside Cape Town City. The harbour is an important market for fish and spiny lobster. Close to the harbour is Marinas Wharf with a great number of coffee-shops and fish restaurants. Trips to view sundowners and deep sea fishing charters are only two of the many choices offered. The view from Chapman’s Peak over Hout Bay is spectacular. This is one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world. The green valley, with its oak trees, is known for its horse breeders. Horseback riding and riding lessons are provided. A big attraction in Hout Bay is World of Birds. According to its brochure this is the biggest bird park in South Africa with more than 500 different species. You can reach World of Birds on foot in 10 minutes. |
