DESCRIPTION:

Carpe Diem Guest Cottage is a luxury large self-catering cottage enjoying a privileged location. You will find us just outside the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay, set against the backdrop of the Vlakkenberg Mountains, overlooking Table Mountain´s 12 Apostles and surrounded by nature reserve in a private security estate.

Accommodation

At affordable rates we can accommodate up to 6 persons; we have two bedrooms (one with a queen bed) and another with two twin beds and have a double sleeper couch in the lounge.

Fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including bathroom with bath and shower, electric blankets, heaters, fans, hair dryer, luxury white linen and towels, radio / CD player, wireless ADSL connection, Satellite DSTV, indoor fire place with unlimited supply of wood and outdoor hot-water shower.

You will enjoy your own private entertainment area with stunning mountain views complete with Weber braai. There is a large (10x4m) heated swimming pool for the use of the guests. A kid’s paradise; guests have access to a kiddie’s video library, jungle gym and trampoline.

On site by arrangement: cleaning and laundry service, baby sitting and airport transfer.

Approximately 30 minutes drive away from Cape Town International airport; 5 minutes drive away from beautiful Cape beaches and the Hout Bay village where you will find many excellent restaurants; 10 minutes drive to Constantia Village shopping centre; 10 minutes drive to the Constantia wine-route; 20 minutes drive from the Cape Town city centre; easy access to a variety of golf courses and Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens and close to the start of the famous Chapman’s Peak drive. For your convenience we have a Spar shopping centre just around the corner.

DIRECTIONS:

From Cape Town International Airport
From Cape Town International take the N2 towards Cape Town. Take the turnoff to Kirstenbosch (Muizenberg M3) in the left lane (just after the Rosebank / Rondebosch turn off) and proceed along the M3 until you get the robots that indicate left to Kirstenbosch, Hout Bay. Follow all the signs to Hout Bay past Kirstenbosch gardens over Constantia Neck.

Once over Constantia Neck and before you are in Hout Bay village, you will see a Disa Nursery on your right hand side and big white gate piers on your left, with signage saying Bokkemanskloof / Blue Valley Avenue. Turn left into Blue Valley Avenue, turn left at the stop street, and proceed up the mountain still in Blue Valley. Pass the Bokkemanskloof stone gate piers (Bokkemanskloof Road) and take the second road to the left into Fynbos Close (the sign is not clearly visible). We are the last house on the right hand side (before the dirt road) no. 12.

If you are coming past Llundudno from Cape Town towards Hout Bay, you enter Victoria road, veer left before the robots towards Hout Bay Main Road. At the second circle turn turn left up Main Road towards Constantia Neck. Pass the Oakhurst Spar complex on your right and just further along turn right into Blue Valley Avenue at the white gate piers saying Bokkemanskloof / Blue Valley Avenue (opposide the Disa Nursery on your left). Follow the directions as above.
