DESCRIPTION:
Buren Cottage is situated under the famous Chapmans Peak Drive in Noordhoek which is just outside Cape Town. We are a two minute drive from our famous Long Beach where you can enjoy riding on the beach, long walks, swimming or whale watching and we are also close to Noordhoek Farm Village where you will find many curio shops and excellent restaurants.
The cottage is situated on a horse farm where there are four horses, a pig, dogs and an owl. It is a quiet, pretty, rural area with tall trees and lots of birds that sing throughout the day. The views from the cottage are of the surrounding horse paddocks and the majestic mountain ranges.
The cottage has recently been extensively renovated and there are stylish finishes and touches of African decor throughout while still keeping the cosiness and memorable ambiance of the old cottage. Buren Cottage is an ideal getaway for couples or for a small family escaping city life, looking to relax or to explore the Southern Peninsula but still with out compromising on modern comforts.
Accommodation
The cottage consists of two bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has an en suite bathroom and there is a queen size bed, a dressing table and a clothes cupboard. The upstairs loft bedroom has a queen and a single bed and there is still more cupboard space.
There is good quality linen / towels available and also a baby cot and bed linen upon request. There are extra blankets in winter and electric blankets for adult guests. There is a beautiful full bathroom with a bath and a shower and two basins. An additional bathroom is found upstairs.
The thatch roof space is double volume with exposed beams with an impressive glass chandelier dangling from it. The kitchen / living and dining area are all open plan which includes an eight seater dining room table, two comfortable couches, an Indonesian coffee table, side tables and lightings. There is also a romantic log fireplace.
Facilities
There is the full range of the DStv channels (you dont need to bring your own card) and a hifi system. There is a private outside braaing / barbeque area with an outside table and seating where you can watch horses grazing and playing.
The cottage has a separate entrance with your own gate access and off street parking. If you feel like being pampered there is also a Jacuzzi and sauna to rejuvenate in which we will prepare for you with flickering candles and different aroma therapy oils.
