Set in three acres of garden, the estate is surrounded by mountains and trees with the Disa River running through the property. With the emphasis on relaxation, privacy and nature there are only three cottages and each one enjoys uninterrupted views of the mountains surrounding Hout Bay. All have a private patio, modern fitted kitchen, TV, DVD, fully serviced. In addition, each cottage has wireless Internet access. For a romantic getaway our honeymoon cottage has a queen size four poster bed, sweeping mosquito nets and African stone bath. THE COTTAGES The three cottages are all private and secluded and enjoy uninterrupted views of the mountains and river. All three have full kitchen facilities including oven, microwave, fridge, and modern appliances. Each one enjoys its own private patio area with garden furniture and a braai (barbecue) is available. All beds are modern and luxurious. All accommodation has under floor heating for the wintertime! THE LAIRD (SLEEPS 4 - 6) The largest of the cottages with master bedroom with extra length king-size bed, second bedroom with two singles (or can be one king size), bathroom with walk-in shower with back and side jets, fitted kitchen, lounge, dining room and private patio with garden furniture. The lounge has a double sleeper couch. THE GHILLIE (SLEEPS 2 - 4) One bedroom cottage with bathroom with shower and bath. Full fitted kitchen, lounge, dining room and private patio with garden furniture. The lounge has a double sleeper couch. THE CROFT - HONEYMOON COTTAGE (SLEEPS 2) The smallest and romantic cottage with queen size four-poster, sweeping mosquito nets (for romantic effect, not insect repelling). African stone bath and basins. Private patio with garden furniture. Double Bedrooms 2 newly built, 30sqm double bedrooms, each with a modern ensuite shower with travertine floors, TV with DVD player, microwave oven, small terrace and private entrance are perfect for business people or a longer weekend in Hout Bay! FACILITIESBeautiful relaxing swimming pool area with wellness lounger in a peaceful garden with birds and trees. 3 acres of lawn keeps you away from your neighbours and give you a beautiful view in the mountains! A starter hamper is included in the price consisting of fresh ground coffee, tea, milk and sugar, salt and pepper. Each cottage has wireless Internet access. Breakfast can be provided and delivered to your cottage. |

DIRECTIONS: From Cape Town International Airport, get onto the N2 following signs for Cape Town city centre (and Kaapstad). As you approach the city watch for a slipnroad off to the left signposted M3 Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Muizenberg. Take this slip road and continue on the M3 until you see signs for Hout Bay (M63) going off to your right. Once you have turned right onto the M63 continue following signs for Hout Bay. After a very curvy drive through the beautiful blue gum trees of Constantia you will come to a large roundabout (circle). When you come to the circle the Constantia Nek Hotel and restaurant is on your LHS. You go straight over and down the hill towards Hout Bay. Continue down this hill until you see Tarragona Lodge signposted off to your right (watch for this sign at night, it is a smallish brown sign on the left side of the road). Turn right onto Disa River Road and continue straight, crossing the river. At the T junction turn left into Valley Road and continue to the second Stop Street with World of Birds on your RHS. At this Stop Street turn left into Welbevind Way (a cul-de-sac) and Buchan Estate is the last property on the left. Buzz the top buzzer, marked Main House. |
