Here, Table Mountain and the magnificent Twelve Apostles Mountains guard over the Atlantic Seaboard, home to the sandy white Camps Bay beach and Bakoven Bay cottages. The 2 Bakoven Bay Cottages are situated in the very quiet Rottingdean Road, one road above the coastal Victoria Drive. The swimming pool and jacuzzi overlook the Atlantic Ocean. From the cottages, it's just 4 minutes by foot to Bakoven beach and 10 minutes to the world famous Camps Bay beach, shops, chic restaurants, trendy bars and theatre. Downtown Cape Town, the cable station to Table Mountain as well as the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront are all a mere 10 minute drive away. Self Catering AccommodationAtlantic Cottage The Atlantic Cottage has a main bedroom, sitting room and en suite bathroom. Open the sliding door of your bedroom, step onto the pool deck and inhale the crisp sea air rolling off the ocean. Read the paper or sip a cup of coffee on the patio. At night, watch a movie in bed or fall asleep to the gentle sounds of the Atlantic. Single beds can be added in the sitting room for additional guests or children. The bathroom has a bath as well as shower. Garden Cottage The Garden Cottage has a main bedroom, kitchen (including washing machine), loft and bathroom. As you open the French doors from your bedroom into the garden, the morning sunlight comes flooding over Table Mountain. There is a second double bed in the low loft for additional guests or children. FacilitiesBoth cottages include a pool and Jacuzzi (shared), patio furniture, TV, mini Hi Fi with DVD, fridge, small stove, microwave, utensils, barbeque, secure off-street parking, housekeeping 3 times per week and a laundry service. Relax on the beach or just enjoy the view of the mighty Atlantic from the comfort of the deckchairs on the pool deck. DIRECTIONS: Whether you are travelling to Cape Town on the N1 (National Highway 1) or coming from Cape Town International Airport on the N2, head towards Cape Town City Centre and follow the brown signboards towards the Waterfront. When You have reached the traffic lights at the Waterfront, continue straight on the M62 (Municipal Route 62) in the direction of Camps Bay as well as Table Mountain Cable Car. Follow the M62 up the hill towards Table Mountain, at the top of the hill (Kloof Nek) continue straight down towards Camps Bay. Follow the winding Camps Bay Drive until you reach the Hussar Resaurant. Turn left into Rottingdean Road and follow the loop around until you reach No. 23 Rottingdean Road. |
