DESCRIPTION:
Ascot Gardens "Home from Home" self catering accommodation is situated in Bergvliet in the Constantia Valley. A quiet, safe leafy suburb, only 16 kms (20 minutes drive) from Cape Town center and the Waterfront and is ideally positioned in the center of the Cape Peninsula.
Accommodation
Our ten x one bedroom, one x two bedroom and one x three bedroom fully equipped self catering units are surrounded by a beautiful one acre garden that has been featured on BBC TVs Gardeners World program. Our 3 Star Grading accreditation, is your guarantee that our accommodation units are appraised annually and confirm to international standards.
Suites have private entrances, outdoor patios with own BBQs, free wireless internet, satellite DStv, DVD, music centres, clock radios, wall safe and ceiling fans.
Ascot Gardens "Home from Home" accommodation is ideal for holidays, business, wedding guests, sport groups, family celebrations and visiting relatives. Large groups / families can occupy an entire house sleeping up to 15 persons, if required.
Available for guests shared use is a laundry, library, fenced swimming pool, sun loungers and a prepaid telephone. There is free use of two computers with Skype plus Wifi connection to all suites.
We supply all bed linen, bath towels, utensils and crockery. Ironing boards and irons are provided in each suite, as are garbage bags, toilet rolls and dish washing liquid. Each suite is allocated a secure off street parking bay which is accessed via a remote controlled security gate.
LOCATION
Bergvliets attraction is its quietness and no traffic or crime problems. There is easy access to the M3 and M5 motor ways, which link to the City Centre/ Waterfront, and to all the local attractions and beaches, within 20-40 minutes.
Ascot Gardens is therefore an ideal base for touring and sight seeing around Cape Town. We are also only a ten minute walk from the train station, shopping centre and six good local restaurants.
The airport, V&A Waterfront, City Centre and Table Mountain are 20 minutes drive away and the seven Constantia Wine farms, only five minutes away.
Owner/managers Lesley and Barry Edkins, live on an adjoining property and therefore do not encroach on your privacy. We have no dogs or cats or noisy children of our own disturbing your quiet and peaceful garden surroundings. |

DIRECTIONS:
From Cape Town Airport or from Cape Town/Waterfront on the M3
Take the Cape Town exit over the bridge onto the N2
Travel towards Table Mountain on the N2 to Cape Town for approximately 11km
Go Past the M5 Muizenberg / Mowbray turnoff. Do NOT take this turnoff but move over to the left lane. Take the next left turnoff which says M3 Mizenberg.
NB: The M3 is the main connecting road from the Waterfront and Cape Town City centre to Bergvliet and the Southern Suburbs.
Continue on the M3 (approx 10km) and take the Ladies Mile M39 Exit off ramp.
Turn right at first traffic lights and continue down Ladies Mile Road.
At the traffic circle, take the First Exit Left.
A school will now be on your right hand side and further down on your left will be a shopping centre. Follow the road around the school. The road you are on now is Heerengracht Avenue.
Turn left at the stop street, this is Bergvliet Road.
Turn 1st right into Jeffcoat Avenue and continue along Jeffcoast Avenue for approximately 400 metres.
- Ascot Lodge (Jack, Queen and King Suites) is on the left hand side at 17 Jeffcoat Avenue (ring office bell at the gate).
- For Ascot Villa (African, Fountain and Mountain Suites) turn Left at next corner into Hiddingh Road. First house on your left is Ascot Villa, 30 Hiddingh Road (ring office bell).
- Ascot Mews (Duchess, Royal and Duke Suites) is second house on left, 28 Hiddingh Road (ring office bell)
- For Ascot House continue along Hiddingh and turn first left into Eksteen Avenue, and the second house from corner on the left is 6 Eksteen Avenue (ring office bell).
The office, home of your hosts, Lesley and Barry, is at No.8 Eksteen Avenue on the corner OF Hiddingh Road.
