From Cape Town, take a leisurely drive along the N2, over the magnificent Sir Lowry's Pass, past the apple orchards of Grabouw and Elgin, and through the patchwork of Bredasdorp's wheatlands to Arniston, a fishing village two centuries old. Arniston is named after one of the many ships which got wrecked along this stretch of South African coastline, having become victims of 'The Cape of Storms'. AccommodationClose to the beaches are Arniston Seaside Cottages, a cluster of impressive luxury thatch roof cottages, emphasising the unique personality of Arniston itself. The Cottages can accommodate groups from a honeymoon couple to a party of 80. The cottages have quarry tile floors, reed ceilings and open log fireplaces.
