Perfectly positioned midway between Cape Town and Cape Point, Afton Grove offers guest’s easy access to all must see attractions, white sandy beaches, superb restaurants and the nearby winelands.
B&B and self-catered accommodation is offered in charming cottages set in a pristine garden. World-renowned omelettes and scrumptious country breakfasts.
Country charm… City comforts…Relaxation comes naturally…
Accommodation:
The Cape Style cottage units all contain an en-suite bathroom with a choice of single or double beds. Each individually decorated cottage has personal touches with attention to detail including an honesty bar and private patio reflective of the country charm. The tranquility and privacy of your own garden cottage invites respite from any routine. You will be tempted to stay… and stay… and stay. There is secure parking behind a remote controlled gate.
For those wanting greater independence there are 3 self catering units, for 2 to 4 guests. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and all the trimmings of the garden suites. One of the cottages is also wheelchair friendly.
Dining:
A cosy dining room welcomes guests for breakfast where they are treated to the finest and freshest fare including free-range eggs, home-baked breads and decadent fruity jams. A choice of farm style or continental breakfast is on offer. Delectable dinners may be requested- many a friendship has been forged around the Afton Grove table or in the adjoining lounge with open fireplace.
Facilities:
In summer, the swimming pool overlooking the 2 acre lawned garden and soaring mountains often forms the centre of activities, with a pool menu and beverage list in summer. However, for those guests who prefer a little privacy, they are given all the space they need - small wonder then that this retreat has become a very popular choice for a private, romantic honeymoon.
Each room comes equipped with air conditioning or fans and heating. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are available for your convenience in each room and there is also a mini bar which operates on an honesty system. Telephones, DSTV and WiFi internet connection in each room facilitates any communication and entertainment needs you may require and just in case each room has an emergency kit for those “just in case” moments.
Dinners, traditional “braais” and picnic hampers are available on request to make your holiday hassle free. A laundry service and transfer options are on offer – you just have to ask!
