DESCRIPTION:

6 St. John's Terrace is situated in the trendy and vibey suburb of Green Point, first suburb out of Downtown Cape Town on the Atlantic Seaboard of the Cape Peninsula.

We are a double storey townhouse in Croxteth Road, which is parallel to and in between the High Level Road and Main Road, both having public transport of one sort or another.

This makes us very centrally situated for the best that the city has to offer. The Victoria and Alfred Waterfont is a mere 2 minute drive away and an easy 15 minute stroll. Sea Point, with its restaurants, beaches and open air swimming pools, is the adjoining suburb, and the stunning and hugely popular beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay are a 10 minute drive from us.

All around are numerous and excellent restaurants, coffee bars and food outlets, as well as a liquor store, post office, bakery, laundrette and a dvd and video hire establishment. Down the road is the largest gym in the city and every Sunday there's an enormous and colourful outdoor market. We're pretty close to the Table Mountain cable station and getting to Robben Island's a short ocean ride from the Waterfront. All the major access roads in and out of the city are only minutes away too.

ACCOMMODATION

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, each with their own full en-suite bathroom and balcony. 2 bedrooms have double beds and the 3rd has 2 single beds, or 1 if preferred. Inbetween these bedrooms is an open sitting room which can be cleared to take up to 4 single beds.

The entrance to the house is downstairs and via the front door or through a remote-conrolled garage door (parking for 1 standard-sized vehicle ) into a large, light, and sunny open-plan lounge, dining area and kitchen, with a guest toilet / handbasin.

The lounge has ample, comfortable seating, TV with DSTV, hi-fi for radio, tapes and cds, DVD player and a VCR. Literally hundreds of movies of all sorts are available free and anytime from the owner, who lives under the premises, connected to the house but having his own separate entrance. There's also a double sleeper couch, and another single bed can be positioned alongside, making beds for 13 guests possible, including linen and towels for everyone.

The dining area has seating for 10, and the kitchen has a washing machine / tumbledryer combo, a dishwasher, undercounter stove plus extractor fan, large refrigerator and freezer, microwave oven, coffee machine and all the pots and pans, crockery and cutley necessary for large groups.

The house has its own telephone, and internet, e-mail and a fax machine are available on the premises. Security is total throughout and there's a safe for valuables in one of the bedroom cupboards.

DIRECTIONS:

From the airport take the freeway to the city where you'll find yourself on an elevated section between Downtown and the harbour - stick to the right and pass the CTICC ( Cape Town International Convention Centre ) and Westin Grand Hotel and down to the first set of traffic lights. Go through them to the next set and turn right, up another elevated section, past buildings on the left with Weylandt sign and blue "The World's gone Mentos " and red TBWA/FUSION - new apartment blocks of the V&AWaterfront being built on the right behind wall. Parralleling the Main Road on the left...to the traffic circle where you turn left to the traffic lights on the Main Road. Hypermed Pharmacy in front of you, turn right into the Main Road - past Giovanni's, Woolworths Foods, Reds, Marine Taxis and red roof Ultra Liquor. About 5 or 6 roads down Main Road is Clyde Road on your left, unmissabl ebecause of a very tall pole, about twice as high as the average street lights, directly opposite it on the right side of Main Road. Turn left into Clyde Road, a narrow both-directions street, so take it slowly, go past Leicester Grove on the left and Clyde Grocers and Gran's Coffee Shoppe on the right and turn left into Croxteth Road. There is a house on left corner, then long, low double story building called St. John's Terrace which begins with doorway number 16...all even numbers, 12 is "Davids"... and we're number 6, with trees and plants on the balcony above.
