Wildthingz Lodge is situated within a wildlife conservancy, and is privately owned, offering luxury self-catering accommodation. The area is malaria free with wonderful bushveld scenery, undulating topography, many waterholes and abundant game species. Very tranquil and relaxing.AccommodationThe lodges are self contained and very private with a lapa and braai facilities. Cutlery, crockery, fridge, stove, microwave, tea and coffee are supplied. There is also secure covered parking and TV in the lodges. BREAKFASTA continental breakfast can be supplied on request at time of reservation. Attractions & ActivitiesLocated in a wildlife conservancy we can offer guided lion and game tours in 4 X 4 vehicles. In addition to this, bicycling and horse riding is available. Birding, a walk on the wild side viewing wildlife or just relaxing at a waterhole. Photographic opportunities abound. Our wildlife is very special with many nyala, tsessebe, giraffe, zebra etc. At night enjoy the sounds of kudu barking, zebra yipping and in season impala rutting in addition to lions roaring. Close by are top class restaurants in addition to golf courses, a gym, Meropa Casino and Wildthingz Animal Park with bird gardens a butterfly house, falconry display and reptile house with reptile display. ConservancyOur conservancy was established by game fencing four properties combining the properties into one manageable unit for the benefit of the wildlife and to enable us to stock the conservancy to capacity. The management of the animals is done professionally with annual game counts, taking into consideration the previous annual rainfall and feed availability, any excess wildlife is thereafter caught using helicopter and boma or darting with tranquilizers and sold live to other game properties and conservancies. Business visitors are welcome as we are within striking distance of most destinations in Limpopo in addition to mining developments.
