The rolling highland hills surround this stately country hotel, a short 10km scenic drive from Dullstroom. Superb rainbow trout fishing, panoramic walks, a treatment at the wellness centre are amongst some of the activities available to discerning guests. Each meal is a carefully crafted journey of the senses and is presented in the dining room or out on the patio. Luxurious suites, warmed by log fires, feature an array of facilities designed to ensure a peaceful nights rest. Four kilometres of perennial rivers flow through the valley and 14 lakes and dams, all stocked with rainbow trout, make Walkersons a fly-fisher's paradise.

Accommodation

Rooms are romantic and refined, each with an en-suite bathroom, a lake view, private patio, fireplace, a well stocked mini-bar/tea and coffee facilities, 16 channel television, telephone and wall safe.

The room complement of 25 comprises, 11 contemporary Luxury Lakeside Suites, 12 refurbished classic thatch Lakeside Suites, a two bedroom Manor Suite and a Presidential Suite with two bathrooms and private lounge. All rooms are individually decorated.

Our culinary journey introduces a variety of courses and sorbets in the fireside intimacy of the dining room, where guests are invited to select a bottle of wine from our vintage collection, before being tempted by our signature dish, roast duck with a black cherry sauce and rainbow trout. The harmonious and romantic environment is rounded off with a roaring log fire on most evenings.

A medley of fresh fruit precedes steaming creamy oats, prepared with just enough whiskey, before a delicious English breakfast, all savoured in the crisp morning air on the sun drenched patio. You may wish to order a picnic basket packed with the chefs delights and a chilled chardonnay and settle down at the waterfall gazing up as clouds drift across the valley.

Weddings and Conferences

Few occasions rival the romance of a country wedding, and the Walkersons hosts revel in the opportunity to match your highest expectations. The stunning surrounds create superb photographic backdrops allowing you to capture life long memories. The hotel has its own chapel and, in close proximity, the Walker Room is transformed into a sophisticated reception venue.

Walkersons has three conference rooms – the Tapestry Room seats up to 20 delegates, the Walker Room can seat up to 120 delegates and the Highland Room can seat up to 12 delegates, depending on seating arrangements.

Horseriding
