Tudor Rose Cottage is centrally situated on the Berea in Durban, KwaZulu Natal South Africa. The Berea is one of the city’s most upmarket suburbs.

Tudor Rose Cottage offers luxury, comfort and privacy at a location central to trendy Musgrave with its restaurants, shops and bars as well as Durban’s Commercial Centre, the ICC, golf courses, the Greyville Race Course and the main sporting arenas, Moses Mabhida Stadium, Absa Stadium, and Kingsmead cricket grounds.

Beaches, Durban Country Club, Durban Royal Golf course, Ushaka Marine World with Aquarium, Dolphin shows and Wet and Wild and the Suncoast Casino is only a few minutes drive away.

Accommodation

The Self Catering Accommodation is in a separate cottage with its own entrance, featuring:

French doors opening on to a private patio with garden furniture and a tinkling fountain, the patio is covered with two arches of flowering bougainvilleas shrubs. A double bedroom, which can sleep two guests, has a shower en-suite. The bedroom can have a King size bed or twin single beds equipped with the finest linen, there are fluffy towels and bath robes in the built in wardrobe which has a lock up safe.

For the maximum comfort during the long, hot summer, the bedroom is kept deliciously cool with air-conditioning and there are two paddle fans in the kitchen, lounge and dining area. A small kitchenette allows for self catering with hob, microwave, fridge and kettle, toaster, electric frying pan, good quality crockery and cutlery.

There is a comfortable armchair and sleeper couch in the lounge area and the lounge and dining area is equipped with a TV and a DVD player on a stand with wheels. There is an ADSL internet connection for those guests who wish to bring their laptop computers.

Facilities

There are two safe off street parking areas in the garden. There is 24/7 ADT Security and beams criss crossing the garden at night. The garden is an oasis of tranquillity. There are many bird varieties that visit our garden as we have several indigenous trees and shrubs. There are many tropical orchids growing on trees and in hanging baskets.

The sparkling swimming pool with shaded Gazebo near by offers a place for alfresco meals as well as South Africa’s favourite get together the traditional “braai” The Gazebo has a gas barbeque, a weber and a Pizza oven.
