History of Tudor HouseTudor House was built in 1937 for the Hobbs family who were a family from Kimberley. There was no road past the building at that time. It was named Tudor House by the Hobbs family way back in 1937. Situated in one of the most spectacular positions on the Peninsula. Early morning sunrises are sometimes so beautiful during the winter that the sky is a bright orange in colour. Tudor House has become famous in the way for "once visited, must return". More than 60% of it's occupancy is derived from guests who return year after year. One such guest was from the UK and he would spend 5 months at Tudor House every year. He did this for 6 consecutive years, notching up more than 365 days! Tudor House seems to cater ideally for the more discerning traveller. Fish HoekThe original fishing settlement of Fish Hoek retains the unspoilt charm of a small community, where the warm waters of the Indian Ocean have created white sandy beaches and safe swimming. Each year the Southern Right Whales choose Fish Hoek bay to give birth to their calves, and abundant seals, dolphins and marine birdlife are all here for you to enjoy from your private sundeck. Fish Hoek bay is a favourite with windsurfers and yachtsmen. Restaurants together with excellent shops and a public train service are all within an easy 400 meters walk from Tudor House. Fish Hoek is centrally situated for all other major attractions, 35 kms to Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Cape Point. An 18 hole golf course is only 5 kms from Tudor House, where visitors are made most welcome. ACCREDITATIONS
