The Mustard Seed Guest House is a gorgeous and very private Guest House in the heart of Sandton. 1,5kms from Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square with their excellent restaurants and beautiful shops. Also 1,5 kms from the Sandton Convention Centre. 10 minutes from Hyde Park, Bryanston and Randburg. 30 minutes from the Oliver Tambo International Airport as well as 30 minutes from Lanseria Airport. A feeling of "downtown Sandton" yet with the quietness and vibe of the country due to the many beautiful trees and quaint gardens. Each room opens onto its own private garden with seating areas for each room where our guests relax after a busy day with a drink or a cup of tea or coffee. We have a vast number of birds that visit us and one of our guests has even seen a Kingfisher in the garden (the Jukskei River runs through our street). AccommodationAll of the five rooms are en-suite with desks in each room except for one room. Three of the rooms have king sized beds and the two single rooms have queen sized beds. Beautiful white linen and thick luxurious towels in the bathrooms. Breakfast & DiningA full English breakfast is served in our beautifully appointed dining-room or on our outside patio which is lushly framed by Acer trees. For guests not wishing to dine out we have a microwave, fridge, cutlery and crockery in the dining room. This is especially useful to guests staying for a long time where they can buy ready made meals and serve them from there. Guest House FacilitiesWe are a fully dedicated Guest House where guests are not confined to their rooms only but have full access to the entire house and gardens. There is DSTV in each room as well as in the communal lounge. In winter sit around the fire in the main lounge and read from our well respected collection of books or just chill and watch TV. In summer our large cane couches on the covered patio are a favourite with our guests. The Mustard Seed has been established for just over eight years and our staff are very experienced in the hospitality industry. We have catered mainly to the business traveller and to leisure travellers stopping over in transit to various destinations in South Africa. We are also experienced in caring for and accommodating health patients where we offer transport to the Morningside Clinic as well as Sandton Clinic. Security & TransfersWe have excellent security with the entire suburb cordoned off after hours. This is very important especially when coming home at night. Parking behind secure walls in the front of the Guest House at the entrance to the reception. On request we can arrange safe and reliable taxis to and from O.R. Tambo International Airport.
