Situated in the heart of the Garden Route this beautiful modern, loft-style self-catering holiday home has direct access to the lagoon and the use of a private jetty.

Accommodation

The house has modern open-plan living, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and will comfortably sleep six to seven people. The main and second bedroom have double beds, with the third bedroom geared towards children. This third bedroom has double bunk bed and a third pull out bed will accommodate a third child or teenager. The living area opens out onto a shaded deck, which includes a small plunge pool (with cover), perfect for rinsing off after a hard day playing on the lagoon, at the beach or shopping at the Farmer’s market!

Facilities

Facilities include a plasma screen DVD combination and surround sound system, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Plenty of off-street parking with remote controlled access. A collection of canoes and windsurfers is available for your use or bring your motorboat, windsurfers, kayaks and enjoy the use of a safe lagoon and one of South Africa's biggest freshwater lakes without having to drive anywhere first!

• Boat-launching slipway is on the lagoon , and boat can be parked on the river in front of the property

• Golf on a number of nearby and famous courses.
• Mountain biking on the forest tracks and roads.
• Horse riding along the lake shore and over the nearby hills.
• Mountain hiking on the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma Trails.
• Many forest, dune, fynbos and lakeside walks.
• Bird watching from birdhides on nearby Rondevlei Bird Sanctuary and on Langvlei.
• Sedgefield also has many excellent pubs and restaurants
• Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning selling home-made local produce of all descriptions
• Craft Market every Saturday in Sedgefield (Wilderness craft market as advertised on selected Sundays)
• Evening Food Market in Knysna every Friday night
• Cultural and sporting activities in Knysna (25km away) all year round include the famous Knysna Marathon, cycling races, the Oyster Festival, the Gastronomica Festival and the infamous Pink Loerie Festival!

Please note the following

• The accommodation is supplied on a strictly self catering basis only.
• Towels and linen will be provided for use at the house. Please bring own beach towels.
• The house comfortably sleeps 6 persons.
• Children of all ages welcome (pool has a safety cover).
• The house is not serviced internally, except on departure. Should you wish assistance during your stay, contact details can be provided. All costs are for your account.
• There is a DVD player, DSTV decoder (bring own smartcard) plasma screen and a good sound system. There are video shops in town with a good selection.
• The kitchen has a dishwasher. A washing machine is also available.
• There is a wireless network attached to ADSL, which may be used in moderation. Passwords will be supplied on request.
• There is no telephone installed.
• Regret no pets.
