Sunset Cottage is situated at beautiful Kenton-On-Sea close to the famous South African Garden Route. The area is malaria-free and offers the visitor a variety of pursuits, from playing and lazing in the sun on golden beaches to game viewing or enjoying the many restaurants, shops, touring sites of interest and taking part in the local activities. Sunset Cottage, which is part of a large country estate, is private, set in its own grounds with a separate driveway. The furnishings are tasteful and care has been taken to ensure your comfort and pleasure. It is owner-hosted and you are sure of a warm and friendly reception when you visit our delightful cottage. ACCOMMODATIONSunset Cottage offers two comfortable bedrooms, one room with a queen-size bed, the other bedroom having matching twin beds. There is a separate, attractively furnished lounge with a touch of Ethnic décor. The kitchen is modern, well-appointed yet cosy with attractive dining area - ideal for all your self-catering requirements. The cottage is serviced and all linen and towels are supplied. Digital Satellite Television is available. (DSTV Available For Smartcard Holders). The cottage sleeps 4 people. FACILITIESAt Sunset Cottage prepare yourselves a cool lunch or afternoon tea to be taken under the shade of two giant Wild Fig trees. Visitors will also enjoy sitting on the sunny patio looking out at the stunning view across the valley, sipping cool drinks, waiting for the barbecue as they watch the sun slowly sink - treating them to yet another glorious African sunset. Don’t forget to watch out for the wild indigenous Bush Buck or the Cape Grys Bok and other interesting creatures and colourful birds which like to visit the cottage. You may even be treated to the sight of the African Fish Eagle as it soars high above the cottage or hear its haunting cry which is surely the real sound of Africa. ATTRACTIONSBeautiful beaches are only minutes away, while boating and fishing on the Bushmans River are accessible from the owners’ main property. Enjoy a long walk along a tree-lined pathway down to the river where you can swim and fish from the Private Floating Jetty. Or hire a boat and tie up at the jetty for a while before going off again up the river to explore. Take a picnic and sit on the river bank and absorb the sights and sounds of the bush along the river. Our property is situated between two wide rivers and the picturesque Kariega River, accessible by road, also offers lovely views from interesting restaurants and pubs overlooking the river.
