Situated in the idyllic Indian Ocean village of Umdloti, on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, Rising Moon is a luxurious, spacious, three double bedroom safe and secure self-catering beachfront apartment.

Watch the moon rise and flood the apartment with moonlight. Fall asleep to the sound of the splashing waves and awaken to an African sunrise.

Accommodation

The comfortably furnished fifth floor apartment sleeps a maximum of six guests in three double bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king size bed with an en-suite bathroom (including both a shower and a bath) and opens on to its own private balcony. The second bedroom which opens on to the main balcony has a Queen Size bed which enjoys a shared bathroom with a shower.

The third bedroom has two three quarter beds and it too opens onto the balcony. Both the main bedroom and the lounge dining area and kitchen have air conditioning to keep you cool during the hot days and there are fans in the other two bedrooms.

The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge lead on to the balcony. There is DSTV (no smart card needed) and a DVD. There are magazines, puzzles and games for those occasional rainy days. The kitchen comes equipped with fridge / freezer, glass hob and oven, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and all the necessary utensils to make your holiday cooking a breeze.

The spacious covered balcony with stunning views of the ocean where one can watch the regular natural performances of whales and dolphins is equipped with comfortable patio furniture a Weber barbeque and is an ideal place for alfresco meals and South Africa’s favourite pastime; a traditional braai.

Facilities & Services

All high quality bed linen, bath towels and beach towels are included. The apartment is serviced from Monday to Friday.

Location

Rising Moon is situated only 20 metres from the beach and 100 metres to the Tidal Pool which allows for safe bathing in the warm Indian Ocean and exciting snorkeling opportunities. We are 15 minutes away from the new international airport at La Mercy as well as being en route to the ‘Big 5’ game reserve; World Heritage St Lucia Wetland is only one and a half hours away.

The very popular Sibaya Casino with its Zulu dancing, a royal tribal village as well as the usual gaming as well as fine dining restaurants is only a 5 minute drive away. Gateway South Africa’s most modern shopping and entertainment Mall for all ages with excellent restaurants, banks and movies is only a seven minute drive away.

For the more adventurous, Umdloti Beach is a base for a variety of activities, surfing, kite surfing, deep sea fishing, microlite flips, and horse riding. It is also within ten minutes of some of the finest golf courses in KwaZulu Natal.
