About Paternoster Seaside Cottages
Just 90 minutes drive from Cape Town lies Paternoster, a scenic old fishing village on the Cape West Coast. Framed by indigenous fynbos, unspoilt white sandy beaches and rocky outcrops hugging the Atlantic Ocean, Paternoster’s charm is reflected in its quaint blue-shuttered Greek-style whitewashed houses, the tinkling of boat masts in the breeze and brightly coloured fishing vessels scattered along the shore.
Inspired by the traditional whitewashed fishermen’s cottages, Seaside 1 and 2 allow romantic couples, small families or friends to savour the tranquil simplicity or partake in the many enticing activities in and around Paternoster.
Self Catering Accommodation
Situated at the edge of a cluster of village homes above the beach, Seaside 1 and 2 are two sumptuous open plan cottages with magnificent views of the sea and beach. Each cottage boasts a spectacular 4 x 5 metre rim flow infinity swimming pool. With their beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, these pools enhance the feeling of beach side bliss as guest sip cocktails at sunset. Stylishly rustic interiors feature antique French-style furniture decorated in white and soft shades of blue to enhance the seaside ambience.
Unit 1 and 2 are identical in size, except that Unit 1 has a lock-up garage while Unit 2 has off-street parking. Each well-positioned cottage sleeps a maximum of four guests, with two double bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. Both bedrooms lead onto a patio, with one bedroom patio boasting unspoilt sea views. The two bedrooms have their own lavish en-suite bathrooms (one with large shower and one with bath and shower).
The spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, furnished in old French-style with whitewashed walls and its own indoor fireplace – complement the well appointed kitchen. Large folding doors open onto the verandahs, peaceful places to relax, entertain and barbeque.
It’s easy to prepare your own meals as each fully equipped kitchen includes a microwave, refrigerator and built in hob with oven. There is also a dishwasher to ensure that the only water you need dip into is that of your infinity pool.
Even during winter, Seaside 1 and 2 are a superb holiday oasis as their large indoor fireplaces are sure to warm you up when the weather gets chilly.
