m’Khaya-Teeny is a delightful and up-market studio cottage that accommodates one couple. m’Khaya-Teeny is private and secluded and overlooks a large manicured garden.
In addition to an en-suite shower and toilet, the kitchenette is equipped with a small oven/hob, fridge, microwave oven, kettle and toaster. The cottage boasts Digital Satellite TV, wifi connection and a radio / CD player with an iPod dock. A ceiling fan hangs over a queen-size bed for warmer evenings and an oil heater is provided for those rare cold nights. Fresh fluffy bath towels and crisp white linen is provided every 3 to 4 days, garnished with a sprig of fresh lavender. Please bring your own beach towels. We regret that children cannot be accommodated.
An exclusive and secluded braai / barbeque area provides the ambiance of a private bush camp, lit at night by candles and traditional torches, under a canopy of indigenous trees. m’Khaya-Teeny’s private garden includes a herb section which provides all the fresh essence required to enhance your culinary art! Complimentary tea and coffee is supplied and basic cleaning materials are provided as well. Also available for your use is a canoe, a home gym with weights, a tumble drier and a washing machine. A laundry service is available on site on request. Meals can be provided by arrangement.
Friendly and sociable pets are welcomed and pet-sitting is freely offered by your hosts. Trafalgar’s beach is a well-kept secret and is seldom crowded. It recently attained the prestigious “Blue-Flag” status, meeting strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management and safety. It is flanked to the north by long sandy stretches and dunes, and on low tide ancient fossils are exposed to the south. The beach is within 2 minutes by car and 10 minutes by foot. Life-guards are on duty during the day, and there is a public swimming pool at the entrance. A short stroll across the lagoon leads you to a beach-side pub and restaurant where one can enjoy seafood and beverages overlooking the surf.
Although quiet and serene, the area has many superb restaurants and places of interest, as well as a variety of activities for the adventure-minded! There are six superb golf courses in the vicinity - tee off from the beach - most of which are internationally acclaimed. From bungee-jumping and deep-sea fishing to quiet strolls in the nature reserve, from a gentle river-boat cruise to a bright night in the casino, from a friendly sojourn in the cozy local pub to elegant fine dining - the area has much with which to entertain.
