ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES:

Hout Bay is a special town - in itself a microcosm of South Africa with both rich and poor living in harmony in the valley. Blessed with magnificent beaches, mountain walks and bird life, you may choose to simply take a hike (you can walk directly on to the mountain from Marlinspike), visit the famous World of Birds or the historic cannons and old fort. For the more adventurous, you may choose a deep sea fishing trip, boat rides, sailing, horse riding or kayaking to fill your holiday hours.

Just over the ‘nek’ in Constantia there is a wine route offering some of the finest wines in the Cape and only 20 minutes drive will bring you to Table Mountain, the waterfront or the convention centre. Take the road over the famed Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point (45 minutes) and then travel round the peninsula to visit the penguins at Boulders beach.

Many of Cape Town's most memorable sights are right on our doorstep such as the world of Birds and Seal Island. If you are fortunate to visit in season, you can watch the Whales from your room or en route to Cape Point Nature reserve and Boulders Beach. Cape Town central is only 20 minutes by car where you may visit Table Mountain, the Waterfront, the Castle and Robben Island not to mention the many restaurants and cultural events that take place there all year round.

If you are here for a conference, where better to relax - away from the bustle of the city but an easy drive in to the Cape Town Convention Centre after a hearty breakfast. If it’s wine that you came to enjoy, we are only 5km from the Constantia Wine Route and within a 40 minute drive to Stellenbosch.
