Makweti Safari Lodge offers extraordinary accommodation in the fabulous Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg.

Nature lovers will be in their element as the landscape is the natural home of Africa's Big 5. There are no fences at Makweti so you are likely to find many animals wondering freely through the lodge. This is a malaria-free zone.

Surrounded by pristine wilderness and attuned to the gentle rhythm of the earth, Makweti Safari Lodge breathes grace and elegance while allowing a glimpse of old Africa.

Accommodation

The lodge offers full board accommodation in five magnificent suites.

The suites are unique and secluded, all individually decorated with antique treasures and plush furnishings to ensure an intimate, romantic experience. There are indoor and outdoor showers, Victorian bathtubs and log fireplaces.

Four of the suites come complete with their own private deck with a plunge pool. The waterhole is a mere 80 yards from the lounge and the viewing deck and is a spectacular place to sit and watch the animals quench their thirst.

While here you can totally unwind and relax, enjoy spectacular service and phenomenal cuisine. All your needs will be taken care of.

Game Activities

Open safari vehicles with expert guides offer prime viewing experiences and an educational opportunity. Walking safaris with armed guides are available on request. Close inspection of insect rituals and the identification of tracks are some of the myriad possibilities presented on these safaris.
