Review by Sydney Mphahlele: Stayed from 29 November to 04 December 2011. The room is spacious. The neighbourhood offers the best tranquility and peace of mind and Lena has given me the best service i could not easily expect. The pool and bushy sorroundings are a refreshing marvel. Like Home is a a great place to be. Jack the taximan is truly wonderful. He transported me from airport to Like Home and from Like Home to the ICC. I have been spoilt. |

We stayed for 3 nights at Like Home Self Catering, the place is so clean clean its beautiful and nicely decorated in a modern way, Lena the owner is so friendly and welcoming you do not feel that you away from home because you are free to do anything they have a nice clean jaccuzi, a clear blue pool the rooms have airconditioner, dstv, wi-fi network. Everthing is perfect there you cannot be short of anything cause Lena will make sure you get everything you need with a smile

Lena, what a brilliant and friendly host to a comfortable and amazing guest house. I stayed there for 4 nights and was treated exceptionaly well. I travel most of the country for work and this is definately the best guest house I have stayed at thus far, not to mention THE BEST cooked dinners I've had at a B&B. Overall I would definately give this a 5 star rating.

The experience I had at Like Home was the best experience I had in that at any world class accomodation that can be found in Durban. Not only were Lena and Jack accomodating and wonderful hosts, they also ensured that our stay was not only memorable but enjoyable. I will definetely ensure that when I am in Durban the next time, I will defintely stay at their place. |

We have had the pleasure of staying as Jack & Lena's guests, at Like Home, on several occasions now. We return because they are wonderful hosts who run a great establishment. Nothing is ever too much trouble and the attention to detail is first class.
Like Home offers peace, tranquility and a beautiful setting; Jack and Lena offer a first class service and we've come to regard them as good friends. It's a pleasure to recommend "Like Home" to all.

LIKE HOME!
What the name suggests is absolutely not true!
Unless, at home you are used to be spoilt with the luxury and wealth of a Prince or Princess.
Your wish is Lena's command!
Even before you have mentioned she knows your need.
The breajfast she and Jack prepare with all the attention, is superb.
The rooms are absolutely complete and tastefully furnished and decorated.
The pool is crystal clear and the garden is a paradise of peace and leafy green.
Here we found health and wealth.
A wonderful place to be.
And so we did.
For a Long Period.
