City fun, mountain sun!We are proud to announce that Lemon Tree Cottages have been awarded three stars by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The cottages are two newly renovated character units situated on the slopes of Table Mountain, with the harbour lights on the one side and the mountain on the other side. AccommodationDecorated in typical Cape Town summer holiday style - lime greens and blues and white washed cane furniture - both units have two bedrooms each, one with a queen size bed and two with single beds - all with quality 100% cotton linen. Each cottage has one bathroom and an open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area. The units are fully furnished and equipped with full DSTV. Unit 1 has a small wooden deck with chairs overlooking the harbour and city. It has a period Victorian bath and air-conditioning. Unit 2 has a view of the mountain and a larger outside potted garden with table and chairs and barbeque. This unit has a shower only. Service and facilitiesBoth units have blankets and heaters for cold Cape Town winters. We also supply beach towels on request at no extra charge. There is no garaging at the units but it is the norm to park your car outside. Parking is right in front of your door. Laundry service can be arranged at an extra charge. We can arrange airport transfers with a separate company. We do weekly cleaning and continental breakfast can be arranged. Location and AttractionsA short five minute walk will bring you to the bustle of the trendy Gardens centre boasting food shops, fashion boutiques, coffee shops and restaurants as a well as an internet cafe. A leisurely stroll down historical Company Gardens will take you through the Rose gardens, past the South African museum, Cape Town’s National Art gallery, the Houses of Parliament, St George’s Cathedral, the Cultural History Museum and Slave Lodge all the way to the cosmopolitan centre of Cape Town. The units are also within walking distance to art movie theatres, trendy Long and Kloof Streets and various restaurants. It also borders onto a public park. The brand new Gardens Virgin Active gym is also within walking distance. We are a five minute drive from the Waterfront and CTICC, 5 minutes from the Table Mountain cable car and the closest beaches (Clifton, Bantry Bay etc) are about 10 minutes away.
