Kwalata Wilderness comprises of 13 000 hectares of idyllic game reserve set in the heart of the Waterberg mountains in South Africa's Limpopo Province. Kwalata forms part of the Waterberg Biosphere Nature Reserve now declared an indigenous forest. There is a large variety of natural fauna and flora, rivers, dams and streams. Kwalata boasts 18 species of antelope and four of the big five (leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant)! We are 90kms from Lephalale town.

Accommodation


Valamanzi Lodge
Valamanzi Lodge offers private chalet accommodation either fully catered (please book in advance) or self-catering. Each of the three chalets has a double bed and two single beds, bathroom, lounge and kitchen. The main house has a king and a queen bed en-suite with two single beds in an adjacent room. The stunning private balconies overlook the dam where guests can view game coming down to drink and the wide array of bird life. Each chalet is fully equipped and has its own braai area. In addition to this the lodge has a swimming pool, indoor fireplace with bar area and exterior lapa.

Zingela Lodge
Zingela Lodge is perfect for groups of people or private individuals. It has three en-suite queen bedrooms and four twin bedrooms. The huge fig trees form a wonderful canopy over the courtyard and braai area. The pool has a view of the dam and the dining area is situated with a bar area conveniently close to the outdoor fire.

All self-catering rates include the service of the room and communal areas and braai wood.

Conferences


Our new conference venue provides a stunning location for all your special events. We specialise in entertaining you and your guests, whether the occasion is a conference, end of year function or corporate team building. Team building courses area available and tailor made to suit you and your clients whether through fun motivating activities or simply enjoying the surrounds to get to know each other better.

Weddings


Kwalata Wilderness’ Valamanzi Lodge provides an idyllic African safari wedding venue day or night. Each wedding is tailor made to host an intimate function to grand scale wedding for up to 150 guests. The gardens and dam are dramatically lit with spotlights, for guests to pause and watch the Kudu come down to drink and highlight the indigenous trees in the garden. Wedding photographs look fantastic against the backdrop of the Bayobab trees in the landscaped garden or with the backdrop of the dam and Bushveld. There is no cut-off time for your special event.

Activities and Attractions


Other exciting activities are available such as elephant back, horseback or quad bike safaris, spa treatments or white lion breeding project visit. Please book these well in advance, as they are extremely popular. Bass, kurper and barbel fishing in four of our dams is particularly good in summer.
