During the winter months we always have a considerable amount of game in our garden due to the presence of the always flowing Olifants River. Be prepared to see elephants up close! The lodge is particularly valued for its high personal service, excellent cuisine and beautiful surroundings. The Lodge’s perfect location makes it possible to see most of the highlights of her surroundings within one and a half hours reach. After a day of visiting the highlights of this beautiful province, come back home to Kurhula Wildlife Lodge, have a good bottle of wine from our bar and just relax.
Accommodation
Kurhula Lodge has four affordable double rooms. From your veranda (with comfortable chairs) you have an exquisite view of the Olifants River. All rooms have two extra length single beds, air-conditioning, a mosquito net, a desk with chair, wardrobe with a safe and coffee and tea facilities. The bathroom en-suite is equipped with a shower, toilet and double basins. Slate tiles are used on the floor and in the bathroom to give that real authentic African feeling.
Meals
All accommodation is on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis (DBB), serving a sumptuous breakfast on the veranda of the main lodge. At night we serve a wonderful African three course meal with an European touch. Should you have any special dietary requirements please notify us beforehand and we will make sure that all your requests are met. Lunch is available on request.
Activities
We can organize game drives and bush walks in the reserve under the guidance of an experienced ranger. Advance booking is required. You can enjoy our bush garden, our infinity swimming pool with comfortable beds, or relax on the veranda in front of your room. For birders, Kurhula Lodge is definitely a paradise. Please feel free to explore the heart of the Kruger Park or drive the Panorama Route. For the more adventurous you can do kloofing, white water rafting, fly a micro light aircraft or do a canopy tour, which you can all visit within two hours drive from the lodge.
