Hilltop Manor is a superb very large old Durban North home sympathetically restored and converted to retain the original charm. Set well back from the main road up a pan handle driveway in an elevated position. The inland view and sun sets are spectacular. The ambience is colonial English with old photographs and original paintings of Durban, antiques and Persian carpets. The main dining room suite is an antique which with the mix of contemporary furnishings creates a comfortable arrangement of past and present. AccommodationFrom the foyer a large staircase leads to eight upstairs bedrooms where the beautiful decor continues. Large and extra large en suite bedrooms with high ceilings and polished parquet flooring. Air conditioning, superior beds and linen with all the amenities one would expect of a four star establishment. The eighth bedroom is situated privately on the second floor and consists of an executive / honeymoon loft suite with separate study area, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom with shower as well as an extra large bath and marble vanity. There is also a luxury self-catering garden unit consisting of separate en-suite bedroom (with shower and bath), lounge with sleeper couch and single fold out bed. Fully fitted kitchenette. This is ideally suited for longer term stays. DiningThe lounge bar offers a place to sit, read the morning paper and enjoy a cup of coffee before going through to breakfast. Breakfast is served in the new elegant dining room which overlooks the seclude pool area. A full English breakfast is served with all the usual as well as Hilltop specials. Be assured your day's start will be a treat. Conference FacilitiesThe conference room with air conditioning and plush carpeting comes with pull down screen, flip charts, white board and overhead projector as standard. Other equipment such as data projector may be hired in on your behalf. The room can comfortably accommodate 50 delegates’ cinema style, 28 horse shoe or 26 classroom style. Catering is done by professional service providers who are able to cater for all needs. A distinct advantageous feature of Hilltop Manor apart from the peaceful surroundings is the parking facility - 35 parking bays on site. Location and AttractionsHilltop Manor is conveniently situated midway between Durban Central and Umhlanga Rocks on a main road, but set well back off the road. Access is also quick and easy to the N2 as well as the M4. Located within just a short drive are all of Durban / Umhlanga's finest attractions; Sun Coast and Sibaya Casinos, Ushaka Marine World, Umgeni Bird Park, splendid beaches, golf courses and Durban's night life are only minutes away. The International Conference Centre, Sharks Absa Stadium and Kingsmead Cricket Grounds are all only 10 / 15 minutes away on a direct route.
