Attractions and Activities
Paternoster is one of the oldest fishing towns on the West Coast and is popular for its beautiful beaches with white sands, abundance of crayfish and the traditional fisherman’s architecture.
While here you may enjoy watching whales and dolphins playing in the ocean for a good ten months of the year. Once spring has sprung you can see the landscape transform into a colourful wonderland of indigenous flowers between July and September.
If you are a bird lover then Paternoster is a real treat, with over 250 species of birds inhabiting the area. You are very likely to spot a number of our seabirds including seagulls, cormorants, sacred ibis and the oystercatcher, who use this magnificent coastline as their breeding ground.
Some of the fabulous activates include a Beach Buggy trip along the coastline, cray-fishing (licenses essential), fishing, diving, sea kayaking, hiking, walks on the beach and mountain biking to name but a few.
