The Three is centrally located in the heart of City Bowl on the slopes of Table Mountain. Flower Villa is located in a lovely quiet area and is just 10 minutes walk to town and close to many restaurants and cafιs.
The building was built in 1740 and lovingly restored in 2010 retaining the historical fabric of the building while providing all the features one would expect from a modern boutique hotel. Col. Robert Gordon who was the leader of the Dutch forces and commander of the Cape Castle lived here in 1780 as well as George Rex, the illegitimate son of King George III and founder of Knysna in 1800. Many parts of the original building remain such as the amazing exposed stone wall that is over a metre thick and runs the entire length of the building.
The rooms all have luxurious king size beds with crisp fine cotton linens and towels. The bathrooms are all en-suite and feature walk-in showers and luxury amenities.
There is a beautiful two tone tiled swimming pool, with large shaded seating area, a huge roof deck for our sun worshipers with amazing panoramic views of the city and mountain, a bar and dining area and plenty of private spaces where one can escape the heat and enjoy a quiet coffee or cocktail with a good book.
