Situated in the delightful village of Gordons Bay, The Downstairs Suites is an ideal place to relax and enjoy your holiday. Sit on the balcony and look over the most magnificent view of the ocean and the surrounding mountains or cool off in the pool. During the months of May to November we are visited by the Southern Right Whales right on our doorstep and the dolphins are never far away.

The Downstairs Suites are situated in the prime area of Gordon's Bay on the mountainside with magnificent views of False Bay and the Hottentot Holland Mountains. Gordon's Bay is a quaint seaside village with a harbour catering for yachts and fishing boats. Look across False Bay and you can see Table Mountain and Cape Point. A very high standard in linens, towels etc is maintained and together with the very reasonable rates we offer, brings our guests back year after year.

The Southern Right Whales visit us between June and November each year and can be seen only a few metres offshore. Gordon's Bay is extremely well positioned for tourists to visit the many attractions nearby. Travel inland towards the well known towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl and you will be in the heart of the wine growing area. Here you will have magnificent views of the mountains and wine estates.

Travel north along the coast road with superb sea views and you come across interesting places including Hermanus. Go south along the coast road towards Muizenberg and then visit the many interesting towns, villages and harbours before finally arriving in Cape Town.

Adjacent to the suites, is the Downstairs Gallery operated by Edmund Barton, an international artist. The gallery is situated amongst the natural basement rocks which gives it a unique appeal. A wide range of artwork is on display and it is certainly worth a visit. All artworks can be purchased direct from the artist.
