Hout Bay Accommodation / Dolphins Hout Bay Accommodation / Holiday Apartment in Hout Bay

Dolphins is a bright and cosy two bedroomed apartment on the 2nd floor in a security complex. For those wishing to do the “tourist thing” and see as much of the Cape Peninsula as possible while they are here, Hout Bay offers the ideal half-way resting place.

Accommodation

The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and views up the Hout Bay Valley. The 2nd bedroom overlooks the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive and has two single beds (the one slides under the other). The bathroom has a shower over the bath and a hairdryer.

The décor is “dolphins” in the bedrooms, and the “Big Five” in the lounge. The lounge, with a sliding door onto the balcony, is cosy and bright, and looks out onto the Hout Bay Valley. There is a T.V. (local channels) and DVD.

The open-plan kitchen / dinette, includes 4 plate stove with oven, fridge, microwave, iron, toaster and kettle. There is a “pay-as-you-go” telephone.

Facilities

The complex offers a laundry with two washing machines and two tumble dryers.
There is also an attractive pool with BBQ area and a secure parking bay.

Hout Bay

The complex is centrally placed, being across the road from the Mainstream Shopping Mall and a five minute walk from the beach. Hout Bay is a charming fishing village nestled in the natural cove between Chapman’s Peak and the Sentinal. A beautiful mile long beach which offers safe bathing for even the very young. Hout Bay has managed to deal with an influx of thousands of visitors every year, and still retain it's villagey charm.

Attractions & Activities

The beautiful white sand beach is probably the first port of call, certainly for families. Other attractions are the world famous World of Birds, the Hout Bay fishing harbour which is always bustling, trips to Seal Island, arts and crafts, restaurants and shopping malls.

Hout Bay is situated 12 minutes away from Camps Bay, on one of the most scenic routes in South Africa, 25 minutes from the Waterfront and City centre, and 10 minutes from Constantia and the renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

A short and spectacular trip over the famous Chapman’s Peak, brings you to the False Bay Coast and the equally famous penguins. From there, a pleasant drive along the coast will bring you to Cape Point, the tip of the Peninsula, but not the southern most tip of Africa.

Activities on offer in Hout Bay are hiking, mountain biking, all water sports horse riding, scenic drives and whale watching.

We look forward to helping you to have a “holiday to remember”
