Having visited the beautiful city of Port Elizabeth, being a Jo-burger – I was seeking a home away from home. Deer Park Lodge did not disappoint me in the very least. Hosts Jim & Eileen really gave this place the personal touch. Breakfast was tasteful, environment serene, I could go on and on….. I cannot over-emphasize the fact that such value for money is rare to come across. After my 3 night stay, I was quite depressed to return to the chaos of Johannesburg (traffic, noise, etc). I just want to show my gratitude for the phenomenal hospitality offered by Deer Park Lodge.

All I can say is we arrived on Friday as guests, and left on Sunday as friends! Better hosts you will not meet than Eileen and Jim - what genuine, fabulous people. Self-catering unit was a little on the small side for us, so we opted for the B&B rooms which are lovely and very cosy! The breakfast was also fantastic and set us up for our busy time over the weekend! The whole setting is just fantastic with the cows and of course the friendly dogs too :) We really had a fabulous time at Deer Park, and were sad to say goodbye! Thank you Eileen and Jim for your hospitality - we'll be back!
