Set in the heart of horses haven, 2km from the Kyalami Race Track main entrance, still just outside the hustle and bustle of the city, Crowthorne lodge is amazingly close to many company head offices, major conference centre's and training facilities. Because of this location Crowthorne Lodge had become very popular and is supported by major companies, for this we are eternally thankful and grateful.

A huge contribution to the lodge's success is the lady who welcome s you, A3 (Adri). Honestly the most welcome you will feel in years, with her warm and genuinely friendly manner, a heart like a Putco bus, you’ll be settled and comfortable quick, quick.

Keeping law and order, also entertainment manager and not a great contributor, is Dirk. Married to A3, for 24 years now, Dirk's wittiness and poor jokes has so far not contributed nor scarred the lodge to badly. Thank you to all the patrons that is still willing to return in spite of Dirk's jokes, everybody, just please note that on your return visit, you lose all rights to complain, as you know exactly what you let yourself in for.

Accommodation

Relax in our spacious rooms, each with study nook, new and firm queen size beds, 32" flat screen TV, en suite bathroom with shower, air-conditioning, coffee / tea and rusks. Parking is safe and secure and right in front of your bedroom.

After a tough day, take a walk in our beautiful gardens, view the dams, check out the fish, or just clear your head in the quiet on a garden bench, read a book or just listen to the birds. If this still didn't relax you after a hectic day, come and join us for a drink at the Pavilion, good conversation, play some pool, darts and table tennis or squash (soon). After all the activity have a swim; our pool is large enough to exercise in.

Meals

We do dinner every day; our dinners are delicious, always enough and we are always complimented on our food. We have a good variety at breakfast, from cereals to fresh fruits, yoghurt, all the usual and some more. Although we eat healthy and balanced meals please note that this facility is not a health-spa, diet-centre or Medi-Clinic, we have real butter and real food, the way our folks made it. You are also free to have seconds as long as you don't waste the food, because then we'll have to hunt you down.

Conferences and Weddings

We offer just the most beautiful setting and a lovely warm feeling as you enter through the gates. With flags flying high you get an ambassadorial feeling, Crowthorne Lodge has in fact been mistaken for an Embassy or VIP residence on many occasions. The winding road on your way to the venue will have you singing the Beatle’s “The long and winding road”. Follow the road along the dams and water features, drive into the “Porte-cochere” … under roof drop-off area and from there proceed to the parking area, parking is ample and safe.

As you enter the reception you will feel a dash of professionalism and a pinch of “haven’t I been here before – déjà vu “. Your friendly hosts Adri and Dirk will have you settled in no time. Our gardens are divine and our breakaway groups often sit outside. The gardens are also ideal for wedding pictures etc.

All the catering is done in-house, our chefs guarantee good food every time. Our potions are generous and we are often complimented on our food.

Crowthorne Lodge gardens are just exquisite and ideal for wedding pictures, with wooden bridges, dams, boma and bamboo forest you have such a lot of options. We have the most impressive honeymoon suite, which is called “The Hide-Away”, nestled in between the dams, through dense bamboo forest over the bridge of time.

We cater exclusively for the corporate market and the business persons every need; fast and efficient WI-FI, laundry; to mention a view. All our guests are here for business, study, for a meeting or seminar and all need a good night’s rest. We therefore discourage our guests to stand up straight in the rooms, because as you know standing up, leads to dancing, dancing leads to drinking, and drinking leads to smoking, all the things together constitutes a party, which in return leads to loud noise. We do not take any leisure or holiday bookings and we do not allow kids. We guarantee a peaceful, good night’s rest, every night.

This is a Four Star graded lodge with AA Superior Grading. We accept Visa, Master card and Diners club. For security reasons we do not accept any bookings from the street or gate and booking in advance is essential.
