Love at first sight, yes that’s what it was, owners Dirk & Adri Winterbach fell in love with the property at first glance and developed it into a luxurious lodge. The spot was perfect they believed, smack bam in the best part of Midrand, 20 minutes from Sandton or Pretoria. The rooms were painstakingly designed, for maximum comfort based upon designs from major hotel groups. On entering the property, flags flying high, you do really get an ambassadorial feel of importance. Many people have in fact mistaken the property for an Embassy. Yes of course, dinner is standard. It didn’t start off standard, but you know, after a relaxing drink and good conversation in the Pavilion Pub you will not want to go out to dinner, so now dinner is standard. Because safety is very high on the agenda, this twenty thousand square meter premises are protected by walls, electric fence, closed circuit cameras and guards. Yes, no mistake, twenty thousand square meters, we need not say, spacious, ample parking, lush, tranquil, magnificent trees, dams, bamboo forest, rolling lawns, etc. ACCOMMODATIONAfrica Wing: Three rooms, ideal for study groups, separate lounge / study room with jetmaster fireplace. Africa Room: Executive double bedroom for the boss, own entrance. Executive Rooms: With shower, each with own entrance, beautiful. Executive double rooms: With bath and shower, own entrance. Hide Away: Through the bamboo forest, over the bridge of time, very private thatch, splendid bedroom, full bathroom and separate lounge. All rooms non -smoking and there is ample secure parking. In house braai area, also for log fires in winter. A ventilated smoking area by the Pub (Non smokers welcome.), pool table, darts and table tennis. The Pavilion serves as a conference or function hall in which case meals will be served in a separate dinning room in the main building. Sliding doors from the Pavilion opens onto a really large pool and tennis court (bring your racquet.) CONFERENCES & FUNCTIONSGetting people together in Gauteng for a conference or function leaves you with only one solution, Midrand. With Centurion in the north, Sandton in the south, Kempton Park in the east and Krugersdorp to the west, Midrand is the most convenient place to be. The conference room is perfect for smaller conferences, meetings, team building and brainstorming. Offers accommodation for out-of-town delegates.
