I cannot praise the Lodge, and specifically Dieter and Marianna, enough! They saved my son's and my World Cup vacation. The second day there my back went into spasm. Thank heavens I was not staying at an impersonal hotel, but had a host and hostess who devoted themselves to finding me the best care in the city and making sure I was taken care of until I healed enough to resume being a soccer fan!
As far as the Lodge is concerned, the pictures tell the story. It is a lovely place to stay, in a safe part of town, yet still near the business district and Parliament Hill. Dinner is available by advance notice, and we ate dinner at the Lodge often. The food was excellent.
As you can tell, my son and I give it the highest possible recommendation. |
