Peaceful, beautiful and very comfortable. First class hospitality. Hosts give attention to detail and enjoy having their guests. Everything works and the ambience is delightful. Staff are happy and helpful. Close enough to shops, but a secure environment. Very good value for money. There is really no reason not to choose the Bryanston Guest House! |

Staying at Bryanston Guest House was like a home away from home. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. The rooms are beautiful, equiped with everything that we needed.
Digby and Germaine are the perfect hosts.
We will definitely be back. |

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Bryanston Guest House last month. Germaine and Digby are charming, generous and welcoming hosts. Our room was beautifully spacious, well-appointed with lovely linens and a very comfortable mattress. We slept so well! They have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home. Continental breakfast was served from 7 a.m. in the guest lounge and was abundant with a selection of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal and warm croissants. The guest lounge and kitchen is available for self catering should you wish to cater some meals in during your stay. It is well equipped with all the cooking utensils and plates, etc. that you would need.
In addition to all of the good stuff indoors, the B&B is set in a beautiful, peaceful oasis of a garden with to which all rooms have access. Tables and chairs are provided for you to sit out and enjoy the lush vegetation and plentiful bird calls. There is also an inviting pool to enjoy.
We highly recommend Bryanston Guest House and look forward to a return visit when we're next in Jo'burg. Thanks to Germaine and Digby and their staff for a wonderful stay! |

Brilliant guesthouse. The perfect breakfast every morning with homemade croissants. Hmmmmmmm. Lovely couple managing the place. Try to go out of their way to make you feel at home. They really do: Digby simply offered me his laptop to check our emails every day! What more could we wish? Discovered that they even have the BVN channel (431) for Dutch people on tv. Rooms are spacious and clean. It has a central breakfast room with fridge, microwave etc. available for their guests. So your drink in the evening is kept cold, and if you want to warm up a snack, that's no problem either. Security is not a problem there. We felt very welcome and will certainly visit again when we come to JHB. It's very close (less than 15 min) to the centre of Sandton. We've been to many B&B and Guesthouses all over and this one rates TOPs! We simply loved the place. Triple AAAA++++++ |

Personal circumstances required us to stay in Johannesburg for quite some time Bryanston Guest House was a perfect home from home for us. It was genuine "Lifeline". The hospitality was outstanding, the opportunity to while away days in the garden and to use the kitchen made our stay like living in our own beautiful apartment. The friendship of the hosts has outlasted our stay; we look forward to welcoming them to our B&B in the UK. There cannot be a calmer, more hospitable place to stay in the area. |

To be clear, this place is a 4 star bed and breakfast, don't expect a 5 star hotel. With that said, this is probably the best place I have ever stayed, primarily due to Digby and Germaine, the hosts of the guest house. They are so kind and so helpful. The place is in a great neighborhood that is very, very safe. It's a gated community. The room we stayed in was excellent and roomy. We were very comfortable the whole time, plenty of hot water, tv in the room to watch some games, etc. The bed was also comfortable. I mentioned it above, but this place gets it's 5 stars due to the owners. They were so helpful in everything that we did, wanted to do, and beyond. We sat with them and had breakfast, dinner, and glasses of wine and beer (offered by them). This was all by choice. We were there for 2 weeks almost and they even invited us to dinner with their family one night at the end. We had a great time and a great conversation over dinner. They invited us to watch some of the World Cup matches with them as well. Other places that I have stayed, I would think this was hounding and feel uncomfortable and odd saying no. However, many times we were busy or tired and wanted to be in our room and just said no thank you. They were fine with it. They just wanted us to be comfortable and feel at home. We even cooked in the guest house kitchen but they let us borrow things as needed. Seriously, a great place. Please message me if you have any questions, I'd recommend this to anyone that's not a total snob needing someone waiting hand and foot on them every moment or gold plated sink faucets. |

Bryanston Guest House is probably one of the best homes away from home when visiting South Africa. Clean and modern you could not ask for more. Not to mention the warm South African hospitality provided by Digby and Germaine. We miss you both and your lovely country. |
