Stay in one of four new and nicely decorated brick self-catering cottages, and admire the panoramic view of the Magaliesberg mountain range from the comfort of your private patio. AccommodationEach spacious cottage has its own Jacuzzi bath, large shower, inside fireplace, private patio with braai, very comfortable patio furniture, TV, DVD player and fully equipped kitchenette with microwave, stove, full size refrigerator, hairdryer and all modern conveniences. There is a heater and a fan in each cottage, and all linen and towels are provided, as is washing up liquid and cloths and tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper. Two of the 4 cottages have a double bed in the lounge for extra friends, and a queen or a king bed in the bedroom. One cottage has the Jacuzzi bath in the bedroom for extra romance and comfort. Honeymoon suite Contains a queen-size bed, gigantic shower, and enormous bathroom. It sleeps only two and has a private garden. Very nicely decorated and very popular with couples. One DSTV channel. Bluebush Has a king-size bed, Jacuzzi bath in the bedroom, large walk-in shower in the bathroom and a double bed in the lounge. It has a decoder for those wishing to bring their smart card and activate DSTV. Acacia Has an extra length queen bed, Jacuzzi bath and shower in the bathroom and an extra double bed in the lounge. The Barn A new an unique cottage sleeping 2, decorated in the style of a barn with rich wood panelling and decorated with oak barrels. See the mountains from the raised king-size bed or watch TV on the reclining lounge chairs next to the log fireplace. The generous patio with comfortable furniture and braai with its view of the mountains is peaceful and relaxing. Large walk in shower and Jacuzzi bath and full kitchen. You will not want to leave. FacilitiesThe Blue Roan (so named after the black and white spaniel that we breed) is characterized by rolling green lawns and lovely gardens. There is a spacious lapa with cooking facilities next to a stunning rock swimming pool. In the bar (dry bar - bring your own) there are games including a pool table and darts as well as collection of DVDs and music CDs which can be borrowed. Attractions & ActivitiesThe Blue Roan is conveniently situated for sightseeing, as we are on a tar road within easy reach of the Cradle of Humankind. There are many restaurants close by and we provide maps and suggestions for activies and places of interest. It is the ideal place for those wanting peace and quiet away from children and people and looking for that quiet time to recharge their batteries or just be romantic with a loved one. There are walking trails on the farm as well as longer walks on neighbouring farms.
