Belvedere Cottage is a quaint one bedroom cottage on Port Elizabeth's historic Richmond Hill. Once inside the remote-controlled garage, you have direct access to the cottage. This Richmond Hill cottage is ideally positioned within easy walking distance to the city centre, major art galleries, our famous St Georges Park and Cricket Grounds. The area also boasts a good selection of highly recommended restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, deli's and vintage shops. We are a mere 8 minute drive from our popular waterfront and new Soccer Staduim. Close to top private hospitals. Self Catering AccommodationThere is a spacious sitting room with open-plan kitchen. The bedroom (en suite), with sumptuous double bed and French doors, leads onto a private walled patio with a fountain. The Cottage offers space, privacy and home comforts and is cleaned six days a week with a light service on Sundays. We have a kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee. Television, a music system, direct dial telephone and a wall safe are also available for your use. Activities and AttractionsThe active tourist can enjoy the excitement of the Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World in Summerstrand; boasting a full mix of family fun, entertainment, shopping, dining and gaming. Other entertainment options in the metro include cinema complexes, numerous sophisticated shopping malls, restaurants to suit any palate, a vibrant nightlife as well as annual and seasonal festivals and events. Red Location Museum The Museum is designed to challenge conventional views of museum design. It draws on the work of Andreas Huyssen who has written extensively on the concept of memory and history. Visitors are not treated as consumers but active participants. The conventions of representing history as a single story are challenged through the design of the museum spaces. The past is represented as a set of memories that are disconnected yet bound together by themes.
