African Tribes is situated only 10 min from OR Tambo International Airport, but with no aeroplane noise. The lodge is ideally located for business and leisure travellers passing through Johannesburg. Get a true luxurious African experience in this African inspired lodge, where each room represents a different African tribe. Relax at the bar, next to our heated indoor swimming pool for 365 days of the year, or soak up the African sun outside.

Owing to its location, the lodge is the perfect start or end to any African tour. African Tribes is ideally situated for travellers with early departures or late arrivals. We also accommodate day visitors who need a room between connecting flights. Our 24 hour shuttle service will gladly drop or collect you as required.

ACCOMMODATION


See the different tribes of Africa in each room. Luxury accommodation in each room with air-conditioning, LCD TV, own DSTV, and DVD player. Each room has its own entrance and comes complete with own bath, shower, international shaver adapter, hairdryer as well as private telephone.

Six of our rooms have spa baths. Honeymooners get a special room with flowers and champagne. Wireless internet is available in each room. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities with snacks and a mini bar. We cater for families as well. Make use of our family suite. All kids welcome!

DINING


A full country-style breakfast is included in the daily accommodation rate. Guests can enjoy delicious home cooking from the three-course dinner menu. Non-residents are welcome as dinner guests, but need to make reservations beforehand.

CONFERENCES


Our conference venue is ideally located for delegates wanting to meet close to the airport. (Our rates include free airport shuttles). We have 2 air-conditioned conference rooms that can seat up to 30 people in U shape seating, and a smaller boardroom for the more intimate meetings.

If you have a bigger conference, we open the dividing doors and in cinema style we can then accommodate up to 100 people. Have your tea breaks and lunch next to our indoor swimming pool. Choose from a range of menus to suit your specific need. For team-building, we offer braais etc in the evenings.

Standard equipment is available: white board and markers, flipchart and markers, overhead projector and screen, writing pads and pens. Enquire about rates to hire our projector.

GAUTENG WEDDINGS


The function room can accommodate up to 120 guests. The pool area, bar, catering and bathroom facilities provide an ideal venue for special functions such as weddings, engagements, birthday parties and company functions.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

For your convenience we offer a 24 hour shuttle service. All guests are picked up for free at the airport, and for a small fee, we drop you again. With prior arrangement we also take our guests to nearby shopping malls.
