This is a great place to stay. The house is really nicely furnished, spacious and has all the facilities that we needed. The views from the yard are spectacular but it's also private. There are restaurants and shops on your doorstep and yet Lion's Head and Table Mountain are close enough to walk to. Perfect, I hope it's free next time I visit!

We decided to stay a week in Cape Town, and I'm glad we stayed at #56. Why? Well, the cottage offers all comfort you need. It's like having your own house in Cape Town for a week: a cozy living room, a well equiped kitchen (oh yes, Linda appreciated the delicious cookies you offered, thanks) + washing machine, lovely bedroom, satellite television, even some good cd's ;-). And you don't always feel the need to go out, because it offers a lot of space too. Location is secure and great too, you can walk to Kloof Street if you want. We will be back, I'm sure!

What a wonderful stay in lovely Cape Town. Private and secure with a very central location. The cottage is very cozy and well maintained and serviced twice weekly by a wonderful lady. Dirk even met me on my arrival after midnight! From the cottage's front there's a view of Table Mountain and Devil's Peak. And from the lovely patio in the back a view of Lion's Head. And the outside shower!
Thank you for a lovely stay. And I hope to return soon.

Me and my family really enjoyed the cosy house with complete privacy. The house is a beauty with antique furnishings and everything that we needed. My kids really enjoyed the house and its location, not far from the city centre/VA Waterfront, very close to table mountain cable way and en route to Camps bay. Thank you for your hospitality, we had a great time in Cape Town.

As shown in the photos, a lovely home-from-home. We had a great stay, even though short ,at 56 Kloof Nek Road. We would definately recommend to anyone considering staying there. Dirk was really welcoming and helpful - absolutely no negatives! As I am sure all guests say, we loved the outside shower!!

This beautiful victorian house has been tastefully renovated. The rooms are airy, bright and kept in excellent condition. The little yard with an outside shower under the grape-vine (marvelous!) is secluded and allows you all the privacy you could wish for. It is a secure place with all the comfort and amenities of a home, maintained by exceptionally friendly staff.
Thank you for the wonderful time!
