South African whimsy whistles at Ladybrand's old Railway siding where an authentic farm style restaurant-café smiles inside a once forgotten South African Railway shed.
Simple, South African food prepared with fresh ingredients and love by locals, warms bellies with wholesome cuisine. A tribute to organic South African living; local milled organic flour is kneaded each day into bread; the salad ingredients are grown in the vegetable patch behind the railway shed; fruit, berries and eggs are delivered from a local farmer daily; pumped water comes clear from a local farm spring and the wood fire oven burns with community kindling.
Authentic it's rustic décor the interior charm styles antique South African collectables in a whitewashed shed frame. A corrugated iron roof covers chalkboard menus that change daily and are inspired seasonally. Resident and patron dogs rest themselves lazy under trees.
