Fishing at Amohelo Ho Spitskop

A 2 ha dam is well stocked with rainbow trout, and adjacent deep water quarry is stocked with rainbow trout, black bass and carp. A further 5ha dam is stocked with rainbow trout, black bass, and that latest of fly fishing fun, sharptooth catfish.

Catch and release is encouraged, only fly fishing methods and equipment are permitted and each cottage has a bag limit charged per kilogram for take-home catch.

The Retreat also offers walks, hikes, mountain and cycle trails, birding, small game, self drive day trips, seclusion and privacy. Instead of television and radio we have incredibly beautiful night skies and endless silence!
