Trout Fishing at Lammergeier Nature Reserve

The Karringmelkspruit is renown with trout fisherman throughout South Africa for its exceptional quality of spirited wild trout. 13 Km of the upper regions of this river flows through the reserve.

Strict grazing control and conservation has lead to superb water quality which has been cherished over three generations of water management.

Catch and release allows for game fish to become the focus of the "hunt", testing the skills of even the most experienced angler. Yellow fish are also found in the Karringmelkspruit, being indigenous to the local waters.
