Inyoni Rocks Cabanas is one of the most sought after holiday complexes in and around Amanzimtoti. It's situated on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, also called the hibiscus coast, and is close to the Durban international airport only about 12 kms away. Amanzimtoti is one of the bigger coastal towns situated on the outskirts of Durban and falling under the eThekweni / Durban municipality. The complex is situated on the Amanzimtoti main beach (commonly referred to as Toti beach by the local community) right next to the beach offices and shops. This ground floor sea facing flat is situated around the middle of the complex and caters for six guests. It is possible to fit more though if some are young children, but we do not specifically cater for this. We offer it as fully serviced self catering holiday accommodation, meaning it's basically hotel accommodation without the meals! i.e. We do the dishes, make the beds, provide paper rolls of usable quality, bath towels etc. One undercover parking is included and additional open parking is also available, as well as parking for trailers. Access to the electric fenced premises is controlled by electronic access control with guards on duty. THE APARTMENTThe flat layout consist of two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, one is en-suite and has a shower also. The main bedroom have views of the ocean, breakers and beach from inside and also have sliding doors leading to the large balcony from where there is a sweeping 180° view. Downstairs is the kitchen fitted with a stove, fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle etc. and inside the cupboards you'll find the continental hotel ware, quality 18/10 stainless steel Woolworths cutlery and more. Also close to the front door is the guest toilet with basin. After the kitchen you'll find the dining area and next the lounge and finally the sliding doors leading to the patio and garden area. The ocean is also visible from the lounge on the ground floor. Inside the lounge you'll find the television with DSTV (Digital Satellite Television) providing a full bouquet of 135+ television and radio channels, giving you all local channels and also numerous international channels like Cartoon Network, Disney channel, Travel Channel, Discovery, National Geographic, Fashion TV, BBC News, CNN News and many more. No need to bring your sim card or decoder with you! FACILITIES AVAILABLE IN THE COMPLEXThe grass in front of the sea facing flats is a real magnet for the young ones to play until late night at night. The complex had two communal braai (barbecue) areas situated on each side of the sea facing block of flats. The complex has two pools in an enclosed area, one a small splash pool for young ones and a large swimming pool next to it, both salt water based. Behind the sea facing block is the open and undercover parking areas. The beach access gate opens up on the well lit promenade running along the famous Amanzimtoti beach front from where it's only a few meters’ walk and you're on the Amanzimtoti main swimming beach. On the bathing beach is a large sea water rock pool (Olympic size), a smaller one with slides and a paddle pool (Both were unfortunately damaged by the tidal waves in March 2007 and are currently not open to the public). These are all public facilities monitored by life guards. Being centrally positioned, Inyoni Rocks Cabanas is also close to all amenities, accessible along the promenade or Beach road. ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIESAlso available along the promenade are restaurants, shops, takeaways, Splash water world offering slides, pools and mini golf (put-put) meandering underneath the super tubes. Access is controlled and they normally charge a daily tariff providing you with a slide as much as you can experience. After mid day you normally can gain access for about half price. Available right next to Splash is a train ride running along a section of the promenade and past the communal barbecue areas. The main Amanzimtoti shopping centre with numerous pubs, shops and banking facilities is approximately one kilometre from Inyoni Rocks Cabanas, reachable by walking along the promenade or Beach road. Some of the superb pubs and restaurants also provide live entertainment. Across from the shopping centre is an entertainment centre (also accessible from the promenade) offering arcade games, pubs, ten pin bowling and bump cars. Rowing and pedal boat trips in the nearby lagoon offers additional entertainment for the whole family. The new uShaka Marine World theme park in Durban, offering a world of ocean activities, rides, oceanarium, amusement park, displays, shopping, beach activities and helicopter flights is also available nearby.
