DESCRIPTION:

The Urban Hotel is one of the most affordable hotels in Bloemfontein with very high service standards. The Urban Hotel recently won the “Top Architectural Design Hotel of 2009” in the Free State presented by the Free State Architectural Institute. The contemporary interior of the hotel is especially designed to meet the needs of a business traveller.

Accommodation


The Urban Hotel Bloemfontein has 60 bedrooms, all en-suite. All rooms have LCD TV’s with a bouquet of DSTV channels, are fully air-conditioned, have cafι complet, hairdryers and WiFi access. Basic office services are available 24hr a day at reception. In room save are available in selected rooms and must be requested. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available as well as family rooms. We have 50 Standard queen-size bedrooms (of which 4 are smoking rooms), 10 Standard twin bedrooms (of which 4 are smoking rooms) and 4 Family Rooms.

Facilities


The hotel boasts a chic bar on the first floor with plasma TV, the perfect place to relax after a busy day. A smoking section is located on the patio at the bar. For dinner, we recommend Avanti Restaurant at the Loch Logan Waterfront. Guests may have their meals delivered to the Hotel or should they wish to dine out, they may sign their dinner account back to their room. We also offer meal vouchers which can be redeemed at the Alabama Spur in Mimosa Mall.

Should your guests wish to dine elsewhere; our guest liaison will gladly recommend one of the many superb restaurants Bloemfontein has to offer. Airport and town transfers can be arranged on request. Elements Day Spa is located next to the hotel, should guests require a day of pampering, our staff will gladly make a reservation on their behalf.

Breakfasts


We serve a light and healthy continental breakfast. A selection of warm dishes is also available. We also cater for Vegetarian and Halaal guests. A complimentary tea and coffee station is available to guests 24 hours per day. Complimentary English and Afrikaans newspapers are available at reception for your reading pleasure.

Laundry


The hotel provides laundry and dry-cleaning services daily, except on Sundays and public holidays.

Location


We are situated on the corner of Henry Street and Parfitt Avenue. Walking distance from the Loch Logan Waterfront, Mimosa Mall, Bloemfontein Medi-Clinic, Grey College, Eunice Girls School and Sports Stadiums. The CBD and The University of the Free State is a mere 5 minute drive from the hotel.

• Turn right into Parfitt Avenue at the traffic intersection
• Turn right into Henry Street at the traffic intersection
• Turn immediately left into Donald Murray Avenue
• The hotel entrance is located on your left
